No. It's the last ever cup game at the Lane with the stands as they're currently configured. There'll be another cup game at the Lane with newly arranged stands some time in 2018 or 2019.
If anything we'll actually be slightly closer to White Hart Lane

Another memorable Millwall game I saw was Oxford vs Millwall in May 1982 at the height of the Falklands War when I was at Secondary school.
Never seen anything like it to be honest. Sam Allardyce was actually playing for Millwall that day at centre half and got sent off! :). The final whistle went and we could see them running out the turnstiles and sure enough when we came out they had found a couple of skips and were lobbing bricks and anything they could lay their paws on plus clumping anyone who got in their way!. People were staggering around covered in blood, women screaming etc - it was mental and we ran like hell!.
My abiding memory of when all this mayhem was going on was that on the tannoy at the old Manor Ground they was playing 'Fantastic Day' by Haircut 100!. You couldn't make it up.
Whenever I see old Hippo Face Allardyce on the TV these days I always think back to this day and his sending off, which happened right in front of us.

Why do grown men (and pubescent boys) think it's normal to fight other like minded morons just because they support a different team??

I want Sutton in the final. Still be nervous though.

Imagine losing that game. It would probably be the biggest story in football history, and it would be at our expense.

It doesn't sound like anything that would happen to Spurs. Surely not...

So you think they'll name the new stadium White Hart Lane then?

I've only ever been at one Millwall game, at the end the opposing teams fans left and Millwall had no one to fight with, it was at that point that the Millwall fans started punching one another's faces in... pretty much summed Millwall up for me.

I am eternally grateful for Sutton beating Coventry at Gander Green Lane. Another miracle is a big ask.

The first game of football I ever saw live as a young teenager was at the old Den. Millwall vs Wimbledon who had Hans Segers in goal. Millwall had Sheringham and Cascarino and Terry Hurlock.

The game was a bore draw but was notable for being the first game with a disabled linesman. The guy had stumpy arms and had the flag gaffa-taped to one of them. The abuse he got from the Millwall fans was like nothing I'd ever heard, fucking horrific really.

I'm quite curious and I'm sure this is a question for another thread and another discussion but why do certain clubs eg millwall, West spam etc have such a history of bad behaviour. Is it the make up of their fans? Where they're from perhaps?

I am sure we have and have had fans but instantly as soon as the draw came out most of us were like riot time. But if anyone had drawn us they wouldn't think come to that conclusion.

Most clubs including ours have always had an element. West Ham were more organised than most and millwall were more vicious than most. Most clubs had their element suppressed by new ticketing prices, better policing and all seater stadiums. Millwall stayed in the lower leagues and even though they had all the above happen to them, they kept their local working class support. There's a hell of a lot more trouble at dozens of clubs across the country but because millwall have this reputation, people expect it of them.

This game in particular is a big deal but so would any millwall game against premiership London clubs (except palace).

That's the way I see it anyway.

But what makes them stuck in the dark ages. What makes them more vicious and organised etc.

I am sure other parts have this reputation too like Leeds for example. I guess millwall is just synonymous with fighting and hooliganism. Like look on Saturday how they approach Leicester fans now I can't stand Leicester fans and they're all ****s but what beef does millwall have with leicester,

It's location for starters. There's other elements, but that's where it starts.

Tough areas breed tough people that is why traditionally clubs like Millwall and West ham from very working class areas are like that.
It's just bred into them from the days of the dock yards until now and they revel in it.

They're not really. Big games like this will bring out the old school lot on both sides.

My family are from wapping and Stepney etc. What's been said about the docks is true but then look at Chelsea. Posh old area but they used to be one of the worst for it.

White working class culture enjoys a good old punch up.
