Woodgate was MoM for me, with Thudd a close second. Bent also gets an honourable mention (was really pleased for him and was a big advocate of his purchase; he's a got a poachers instinct can play a variety of roles and spell both Keane and Berbatov (cue the IQ puns), he'll play a lot of minutes next year). The rest were very good, but for Robbo who was average, but no point criticising him as he's not going to be with us much longer anyway.

Last point, I think we may have found the best position for Thudd. What that means for JJ I'm not sure. I'll say this though (and as a big fan of Jenas') his game's all about speed and athleticism, I think he's suffered some burn-out from the mid-season pre-season and from the weight of games. The time to assess his future will be after a proper pre-season has got him in peak condition.

Robinson - (6) Not much action. Nice tip over from attempted lob. One hairy moment when Kanu bottled a header that he should have scored. Robo should have come and claimed it though and nullified the thread. Same old Robo...

Hutton
- (7) Looked ok. did his job at the back but offered little threat down the wing
Dawson - (7) Solid but not really tested
Woodgate - (8) Looked like he was always gonna win any 50/50 ball and looks assured at the back
Chimbonda - (7) Looked very good going forward and caused Pompey problems down the wing first half. Done well

Lennon
- (6) Can do so much more. Looked threatening but his final ball/shot/pass was poor today
Zokora - (9) My 'Man of the Match' today. Looked awesome in the midfield and equally as strong in Defence. Broke up play well and constantly brought possession back to Spurs
Huddlestone - (7) Passes we're hit and miss today but done well enough in the centre of midfield
Malbranque - (7) Scrapped well and looked better when switched to the right wing. Doubled up well on attackers when Chimbo was under pressure

Keane - (7) Made some good runs but nothing much offered up for him today
Berbatov - (7) Looked quite. Tried to get involved but was swamped out of the game

---

O'hara - (7) Looked liverly when he come on and scored a good poachers goal
Bent - (8) Showed pace and power upfront and scored and good header aswell as creating the 2nd. Would have been my MotM just behind Zoko
Tainio - (7) Done ok

Totally agree with you mate. Zokora is showing big signs of improvement, just what he needed to justify the almost stubborn starting XI selection he was being given after the ACN.

We played very well today against a resoloute portsmouth who came to stop us. To be honest it was hard to pick a MOTM when everyone played their part in a good team performance. Redknapp showed today why I would hate him to be a spurs manager. He's got a very good squad at his disposal (even with injuries etc) but all he can do turn out 10 defenders with no tactical nouse at all. If he doesn't win the FACup then the league could be his only chance of europe but with the ultra negative attitude he showed today he deserves fuck all. Ratings:

I really do think that you are being over critical of poor ol' 'arry. I mean Pompey had the 3rd best away record in the EPL before Saturday's match.

Agreed Hutton is a defender, then in that case keep him in our half, but he hasn't been signed for that as he attacks constantly. If he continues to cross the ball, which he should, then he needs to improve.

but he is a million times better than chimbonda at crossing, well thats when chimbo crosses as usually he just passes back, he seems to be doing a good job at left back though

some very good performances - we made pompey look very ordinary - and while the league table 'never lies' - does anyone seriously think they're better than us - cos I don't - they're yet another negative team doing little for football - and it was football justice that we won - not that you'd guess from Sky's typical anti-Spurs bias

no-one less than 6 - I gave MOTM to Bent as I'm so pleased for him - but Woody & Hudd just as well deserved it

Please show me where anyone has defended Robbo for the Kanu incident?

You were by trying to put the blame on Zokora:shrug:

Kanu may have slipped by the defence so why not blame woodgate as well? Why not blame Steed for allowing Johnson the time and space to pass that long ball in the first place?

Robbo f***** up. He wasnt decisive enough and other keepers would have taken the ball and not allowed Kanu to to touch it.

I was not blaming it all on Zokora, i was blaming Zokora AND Robbo

I blamed Zokora and not Woodgate because Zokora was standing beside Kanu, Woodgate was infront of them both.
