Hey everyone, COYS!

Right, only just got back from game, worse for wear, etc, not going to read all of the posts just yet, but don't understand the negativity Zokora's getting. OK, so he missed a chance that no one expected him to score because he can't shoot for shit, but the guy was immense the whole game. Seriously, what game where you watching? I presume the guys giving him a bad rep where watching it on TV, because in the flesh, Zokora swept up after everyone, he intercepted, he rallied round. The guy was phenomenal, and was literally the talk of Wembley afterwards. I really don't understand how I was only the sixth person to give him man of the match.

Anyway, enough about one man. Great win, well deserved, looked solid. Until he kicked on in second half, I wasted more swear words on Lennon than I have on anyone for a while. But a fantastic win, well done all concerned. Fuck off Grant you twat, the best team won

What an absolute prick you are, pal. No rating! The guy played his heart out for us as far as I can see. Whether or not he performed to your or anyone else's expectations is another matter. You want to single a guy out citing this kind of bullshit? You were probably one of those whining on Thursday night 'cause things weren't going exactly to plan. Are you about 10 years old and expect us to win finals every couple of years? If so, I forgive you. If not you know fuck all about Spurs and should go back to supporting Man U like you did last season. Disgraceful attitude!!!!!!

You are the 10 year old... you totally missed my point-Prick!

We beat the chavs 2-1, 2-1 we beat the chavs 2-1..........

Outstanding performance from everyone but special mentions for The King and Woody who were solid, JJ who ran all day, Berba who looked interested and was class and Robbo who made 2 world class saves at the end!

Ramos is also a genius......

today is not the day for marks - today is the day to celebrate winning a cup, a cup that we beat the scum No1 5-1 for and Scum No2 2-1 for - the thought we have to take away is that this is a great day - a day to celebrate winning a cup that the none of the 'top 4' won, we did, we won it in style too, there was nothing lucky about the win, if anything we were unlucky not to trounce them 5/6 to their 1.

next week we can can moan and mark the players again, but not today, not tomorrow, not until the next game because a team is only as good as it's last game and damn - we were good and we lifted the cup

only when you go to match and wave your flag and see the players celebrating with us do you see how stupid all the people that call this cup insignificant are - there were 87660 at wembley today and they all wanted their team to win.

we though did not leave early slinking off into the night to lick our wounds, we left head high, singing, cos we won

so no marking from me anyway

Robinson 6 - Too much hoofing first half, and the freekick?

Hutton 8 - Strong, Solid
Woodgate 9 - Strong, Calm, GOAL!!!
King 9 - Strong, still cultured when looking forward.
Chimbonda 7 - Did his job

Lennon 8 - Didn't see the ball first half (see Robbo's ratings) Awesome the Second Half
Jenas 8 - Tireless tackling, interceptions, needed him more in forward areas
Zokora 7 - It wasn't until Drogba scored he decided to stop giving them free kicks within 25 yards of goal.
Malbranque 7 - Shame he had to go off, but ran his arse off

Berbatov 8 - His class showed almost as much as his PASSION today
Keane 8 - His best all-round game for some time

Subs:
Huddlestone 8 - Deserved to start on recent performances, game changed when he came on.
Tainio 7 - Solid
Kaboul 7 - Solid

DOW summed it up perfectly. Playing Chelsea isn't the same as playing Arsenal or ManU, whose desire to play attacking football will always allow you some freedom in a game. Chelsea are like the most expensively assembled Bolton. You must compete and win battles all over the pitch but mainly at CB and CM. It is about bollocks and strength and today Woodgate, King, Jenas & Zokora won all the important battles against one of the most expensively assembled and highest paid opposite numbers on the planet. Our four players entire combined transfer fee was less than Essiens alone. Their combined wages less than lampards.(or close).

How anyone can single out Zokora is baffling. It was his superb interceptions (2 of which lead to great chances) all day long that helped keep us on top for most of the game.

Everybody made a mistake today but everybody redeemed themselves during the course of the game.

Ratings:

Woodgate, King, Zokora, Jenas 9

Everyone else 8.5

Ramos 9 - Don't try to argue with me that coaches can't improve players and teams. You know who you are. And you now must be aware that you are wrong.

Levy 10 - Took stupid shit for making a couragious decision. Don't know how he managed to talk a coach of Ramos's ilk to come to us but I salute you. And (amongst many other great things and money spent) he then went out and spent big money on a player who came with risk, aged 28, with absoloutely no likelyhood of retaining inherent value. Today he paid Mr Levy back. He deserved it.

Redemption is sweet.

Nearly forgot:

Us - 9.5 - great atmosphere, and maybe the result has made me biased - but I loved the new Wembly. Sat up in the gods and had a fucking fantastic view. Shame the seats are all red.

This game was all about the central pairing at the back and in the middle.
Woodgate and King deserve 10's, considering the amount of games they have played and the opposition they were almost flawless.
Zokora and Jenas deserve 9's, they bossed the middle against some of the best CM's in the world. Essien and Mikel were subbed, need I say more?
The rest deserve somewhere between 7 and 8 as they were relatively peripheral to the real battle but combined the necessary work rate and ability to outplay one of the best teams in the world.

I would just like to underline that we outplayed and beat one of the best teams in the world in the semi as well as the final. When Levy said we should be challenging the top four he was quite right and I think the football world has realised this today.

Absolutely spot on.

I'd add that Berb was ice cool for the penalty BUT , it was a 50/50 penalty , meaning if the goalie guesses right , its an easy save . There was no delayed run up , he got the 50% chance , lucky . There will be complaints about this assessment but I'm used to it...I got almighty stick for saying the same about Defoe's last penalty he scored ( before fucking up the next 3) . Everyone here was wrong so bring it on....poor penalty.

Absolute bollocks.

Agree, Zoko was immense, its hard to pick a MOTM out of him, Woody, Jenas and king which is why i havent voted. but i couldnt believe some people were rating zoko as our worst player. except for a few mistakes he broke down so many attacks. hes a great athlete, never stops running, and with jenas also having these attributes it went a long way to winning this game.

 agree with all that. its worth noting that ramos was comollis apointment, levy even said something like if ramos doesnt work out comolli has to answer for it. having said that im sure levy must have had more to do with it than he made out, but rep to comolli nontheless.

Robinson 7 - poor most of the match. Made two amazing crucial saves at the end. I still want a new keeper. Reluctant to come and claim the ball, and over time, these mistakes cost us points.

Hutton 6.5 - Nothing I have seen from this guy makes me believe that he is better than Chimbonda. I guess I need to give him time.

Woodgate 7.5 - Great goal, but was turned too easily by Drogba a few times.

King 9 - ABSOLUTE LEGEND. MAN OF THE MATCH FLAWLESS DISPLAY.

Chimbonda 6 - played well but downgraded due to petulance showed after being subbed.

Lennon 8 - Great 2nd half. Truly world class. Made SWP look 2nd rate.

Jenas 6.5 - poor 1st half and pretty much same 2nd half. Great ball to set up winner.

Zokora 4 - I honestly don't want him to play for us again.

Malbranque 7 - played well the whole match. Player of the season

Berbatov 7- great penalty, played well.

Keane 5.5 - did nothing but bottle challenges and flap his arms.

Subs:

Huddlestone - 7.5 Immense when he came on. He was everywhere.

Tainio 6.5 - played LB, (LOL)

Kaboul 6 - not on long enough.

COYS

GL - You should have watched the match rather than listen to the radio conmentary - you are having a laugh!

Wasn't it Drogba? But that was brilliant though, he wasted a minute and half taking the throw!
It wasn't Drogba, he came across to tell Tainio to be quiet after he had said it.

Robbo-7 At fault for the goal, but some other good saves.
Hutton- 8 Didn't see him going forward alot, but some great defencive work
Woodgate- 10 If Carlberg did central defenders
King -10 see above
Chimbonda- 8 Thought he played well, defended well and tryed to get forward when he could.
Lennon- 8 quiet first half, but showed why he is a threat in the second and extra time.
Jenas- 8 A more disaplined game from JJ today, didn't get forward as much but worked hard against a central 3
Zokora- 8 Thought he had a great game, broke up play. But after his miss thought he because shakey
Malbranque- 7 Played slightly infeild to cope with Chelsea, worked hard
Keane- 9 thought he played too deep in the first half, but worked realy hard closing down players.
Berbatov- 10 Great touch as usal, worked hard right us to the final whistle.

Hudd-7
Tainio-7
Kaboul-7
