Martinez: Conte ‘helped me grow’

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Tottenham Hotspur are ready to break their transfer record on Lautaro Martinez. The Argentine striker has been lighting up Serie A for a few years now, and he’d certainly command a club record fee if Spurs were serious about signing him.

Martinez has previously gone on the record to speak about his relationship with Conte.
“l’ll always be thankful to him because as soon as he arrived at Inter he called me, when I was on holiday after the Copa América,” Martinez said in an interview with UEFA.com.

“He’s a coach who trusts me and that has helped me to grow. He’s helped me to change my mentality as well – not just me, but the whole group – and this is really important for us at Inter. Hopefully, we can continue on this path.”

Any insight into what's gone wrong for Jovic since Real signed him for about £55m?

27 goals 2018-19, while only 20-21 years old, but only 7 goals in the subsequent three seasons combined. No serious injuries and a loan back to Frankfurt didn't really work out. I would feel very nervous about signing him.
