Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez has told friends he has his “heart set” on joining Tottenham. Spurs have opened talks with the Serie A champions over signing the Argentina striker, 23, before this month’s transfer cut-off. A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Martinez has told his inner circle he wants to join the Premier League outfit and has made that clear in discussions with Inter.

This could all just be so that when (if) he leaves the Inter fans see him as loyal to the end and sold against his wishes, thus still a hero to them. Fingers crossed!

Apparently when Romano quoted this he missed the word "Today" from the start of the sentence. Which completely changes how it reads.

Quote from the same website about Tomiyasu “This site revealed on 2nd July that Tomiyasu has his “heart set” on a move to Spurs and has made that clear to his inner circle.”

Makes you doubt the legitimacy of the story, much as I’d like it to be true. Time will tell I guess..
