Whilst I agree he should be annoyed, I thought part of the “project” was to use the youth. I know it was a different era but why can’t Dorrington or Phillips be the next Judas - what was the point in buying the latter if we won’t give him minutes

This is why there was a point last year that I seriously wanted Redknapp to come out of retirement and give it one more crack! 😅
The irony of my post is that... well, WE knew this, having seen it with Jol, Harry and Poch. Everytime we ditched the feel good man managers for the pragmatic "winner", we would set ourselves back 5 years.

Hoping someone can help as I’m banned from posting in the ITK thread. Anyway it appears to be all doom and gloom over there that Ange isn’t happy with not getting in a CB. This is fair enough, however there are posts mentioning how it went downhill when previous managers weren’t backed and just wondering has there been any news that there has been a falling out already? Or is it just people bed wetting as usual?
It’s people having an agenda-anti Levy agenda. Even the ITK posters and particularly ‘the Staff’ are so blatantly anti-Levi. Nobody knows what Ange thinks and specifically if he ‘rages’ about the lack of transfer window signings. Some posters have vivid imaginations and like to feel important, so they post stuff that is already out there but with some/a lot of embellishments. When things don’t work out as they hoped/planned they blame it on Levy-nobody else. The strange thing , is they actually think that normal, sane people who actually love and support Spurs, will believe them 😂

Who knew that just being a decent bloke and getting on with it was all you needed to get your team happy and playing well?
He is very tactically astute, but can communicate it simply with lots of charisma. I think that is incredibly hard to pull off.

Yeah, so weird that those who have a lot more information about the inner goings on at the club are all anti Levy.

Also interesting that most of them never used to be, it's almost like they have all formed this view over time having a much better insight to the workings of the club and Levy in particular than the rest of us.

But I'm sure you're right, much more likely that they've all got it in for him for absolutely no reason whatsoever, poor old Daniel.

Same old posters giving an off topic to anything that dares tarnish their supreme leader.

Agree. But with all the above once the good will starts to run out the fanbase start saying things like 'they are tactically naive' or 'they can't get us over the line', 'we need a winner to get us silverware' etc...etc..

This is one of the reasons I felt Kane going may have been a good thing.

Sometimes leaders need to emerge out of the shadows and Kane, because he was Mr Tottenham, kind of was the go to guy, on and off the pitch.

The other major issue with Kane was that whilst he is totally professional and still is sublime on the pitch, he didnt want to be here and was checked out in terms of where the club's direction was.

I think by the end he was just playing for accolades and he must have been thinking he cant do anymore to get the club where it needs to be and others need to pull their socks up.

I dont know if anyone has joined a work team before or a group of tenants in an apartment but you feel the staleness of things when you are the new guy but when those who have been there a while move on you start to shine a bit.

I blame Levy for some things with Kane but I also believe it is simply just life.

The same old gets stale and others need to come to the fore in order to progress.

Hopefully Ange can prevent things from getting stale and continue to build a team who are Excited to keep going.

I think this what Ange understands the most, how to regenerate and bring new energy in. The Aussie cricket team has traditionally been ruthless at getting rid of the old guard. It's not that the old players can't do a job it's the opportunity new ones bring to being the next leader etc

The big test for Son as a CF and the tactics in general is how he will do against a packed box. Against a team like Burnley who sit high and have plenty of space in behind Son will run riot but when we come up against a team that sits deep, crowds the box and doesn’t leave any space behind that will be the real test. I’m honestly not sure how he will come through that, he will definitely need to work on his movement within the box. He also only has 4 PL goals from headers so high cross won’t be a viable option.

A lot of it will come down to the support from the wings and the midfield. We will have to be very precise with our support play and passing. I’m sure Ange will have this in mind, assuming he sticks with Son at CF rather than Richy, and be working on it in training. It’s possibly in situations like this that Ange might well prefer Richy who is the more physical of the two but in general I’d be surprised if Son isn’t the starting CF.
Is there a team that does this better than Brentford? We scored 2 against them and could have scored more with better finishing.
