We rode our luck against both Everton and Bournemouth, and needed a worldie to break the deadlock against a very poor Burnley . The performance levels need to improve and we seem to lose a couple more players to injury every week to offset those who are returning. There’s lots to be positive about but our results have been better than the performances lately.
Agreed but with the players we’ve had out that’s nothing to be ashamed of. I’d take one more result that was better than the performance, then look forward to some much stronger line ups from then on

This isn't unique to Tottenham. We play on the edge sometimes but so do every other team in the league. Point is we won those games. Worldie strikes are no flukes either.

We did those with Emerson and Davies at CB mostly. We didn't have Werner or Dragusin. Going into today the major names missing are the three on international duty and Maddison. We go into this with a better back four than we did at the Etihad. Werner is an upgrade on Bryan Gil from that XI as well.

While I accept we rode our luck at times, we were also quick starters in those games (Burnley aside). I don't get where this level of pessimism is coming from? I honestly feel like we should be winning today with the side we are able to put out. That doesn't mean we will win, but we should be confident.

So you think we would have ‘no chance’ if we play them? No on is saying it’s what we want, but we’d still be better than them in every other area of the pitch, and have Bentancur to run things

Not 'no chance' but I think we'd end up losing if we play with such a weak midfield on top of no Son and Maddison.

Where Utd are right now I'd be somewhat miffed at a draw today if I'm being honest.
Agree, there totally off form and if we truely want to stay in this title race then we need to be going there and turning them over.

If this was a really good Man.U side of yesteryear the attitude would still be to there to try and win but we’d probably take a point, today we really need to be beating them, they just lost to Forest and a few home game ago they got spanked 0-3 by Bournemouth.

To dare is to do.

I personally wouldn’t be too annoyed, they will no doubt raise there game like they have done against all the big teams, plus they have most of their players fit again.

Few players back for United which definitely makes them stronger.

Our main issue is missing Son, so others need to step up in front of goal.

I think today will have nervy moments and I'm certainly not feeling this is an easy game, but I am massively looking forward to it and feel we can beat them today, which is a good sign of the progress this season

I think that the fan mentality still has a way to go in terms of belief and still defaults to the fatalistic but we have a coach now that has the opposite mindset and hopefully, given time, the fans will start to think the same.

Don’t do it to yourself mate. A draw at Old Trafford would be a great result.
Considering the mentality of our team and the shape of theirs, I strongly disagree with that.

Throw history in the bin. A draw would be at most acceptable.

A win would be a great result

A draw would be a good result

A loss would be a disappointing result

Form is not really relevant- both teams have returning Players, and missing players. It’s also a big game for both sides - so I expect United players will be up for it in front of the home support. We can absolutely win, but let’s not pretend that just because we look better on paper, that it will automatically play out that way.

On its day, every away match in the PL is a difficult fixture.

Because they nearly always find a way to beat us. Mostly with a lot of help from the officials.
Last 5 games at Old Trafford. 3 wins to 2 in their favour. We have a lot better record there than we do at Arsenal or Chelsea.
We find a way today.
