We do seem to be their bogey side in recent years, but I also know they can absolutely batter us if they are in top gear. We have actually beaten them a few times without Kane as well. It's not out of the question.

I see it as a free hit. Nothing to lose. City are expected to win this, we have been in poor form up until Wednesday and have a very young temporary manager.

I just want us to have a go, win or lose. Don't lose with a wimper, that's all I ask.

Very much would like to win a trophy something good for the club to shout about in what has been a shit season.
But I see it as a long shot city will turn up in full force mode and I expect a scoreline of our defeat at their ground of 3-0.

I do hope, if the expected defeat does happen to be the outcome, people don't use it as a way to turn against Mason.

What's he had, a game & maybe 5 or so training sessions? That's fuck all when it comes to trying to change the mindset of players that have been broken by the former gaffer.

All he can do, is try to get the boys fired up, feel like they have a bit of freedom to go out and express themselves in an attacking sense & just give it their all on the pitch.

If he/they can do that, we can't really have any complaints. COYS

I agree mate I certainly won't blame the lad there are far wider issues he is just being set up as a stooge for something more sinister.
A defeat is the likely outcome but if by some dark art of magic we win then it could not have happened to a better person mason picking up a winners medal.

We're in total agreement on pretty much everything. Would be truly amazing if young Mason pulled off the unlikely victory.

Although it doesn't/wouldn't happen. Should we win, it would be wonderful if Lloris called for Mason to lead the team up the Wembley steps & lift the trophy. I bet there wouldn't be a dry eye in the house.

Again Total agreement mate but I know we are not going to win so am totally prepared.

We will need a game plan, now mourinho is gone I can’t see it being the one we used when we dispatched of them brilliantly early on in the season

if we go toe to toe with them football wise they’ll kill us

However, sitting back like we did at Etihad, will not work either.

Shows how long its been since we won a trophy - the famous Wembley steps were demolished with the stadium in 2002

This is the first time I've gone into a final 100% positive that we're going to lose, and it's kind of liberating. I just hope we give it a good go, maybe score a goal, and don't get thumped. If we were to win it would be one of the biggest surprises in our history. COYS.

Obviously we're massive underdogs but I do think that if karma exists in Football then this would be a good time for luck to go our way in a final. Mason's been through an absolute nightmare, he deserves it more than anyone at that scummy state-run club in Manchester. Winning it would mean almost nothing to them but would be a dream for us, just got to hope things go our way and we put in a good account of ourselves at the very least.

If he's not to blame if we lose, then don't give him the credit if we win. Can't have it both ways.

I just hope we score a fucking goal in a cup final. What's the record for most consecutive cup finals played in without scoring a goal?

The best thing Mason can do before and during this game is to show the players how much this club means to him and show passion and drive throughout, hopefully it inspires a few of the players.

OK. Sorry, mum.

I'll go and sit on the naughty step for thinking a 29 year old lad, who's only been officially in charge of the team for 4 days, should perhaps be excused if he hasn't turned a dead, spirit stripped squad into a team that can better the best club in the country.

Don't know what I was thinking.

On my way to Philly to watch this with my best friend(whose City - yes shockingly i actually have friends) & spotted Dier’s doppleganger waiting for the train. Unfortunately i can’t grab a pic because he wont lift his head. Bit like the actual Eric Dier trying to defend
