sorry who was good, must have no spotted the good performer in white out there

So you're saying we should pick Janssen to start instead of Kane, and sissoko instead of dele. Good luck with that

We have a first 11 and nothing else. That's the problem. Diabolical transfer window left us with no squad.

Thght we might lose but the manner in which we did is a killer.

We were totally outplayed. And it was not just cos we were shit, they made us look shit by not giving us a second on the ball.

Reckon we have the least technically gifted squad of the top 6 too. We aren't bad but we don't quite have that touch that the others have at times.

2 points separate 2nd and 6th now, Man City will likely win tomorrow, that will put us in third and now we have the EL to contend with and a squad with utterly shit depth quite frankly.

I am concerned to say the least.

It's good that we have EL, it will buy time for Rose, Jan and Lamela. Our subs are not good enough but I hope at least Kane will step up, he is playing like he normally does early in the season.

Now that the title has gone I hope we don't go into a fucking nosedive like we did last year. A huge scrap to get top 4 now and if we play like that many more times we will finish sixth.

That's the worst game - and I've seen a lot of them - I've seen poch manage. From formation to final whistle that was shocking.

You cannot bounce up to Anfield and present them with a dodgy 4231 to ransack. Madness. Then tinker with it in all the wrong ways trying to fix it, instead of going to a solid formation and bringing on one of the fastest players in our squad to play LWB and help deal with Mane.

Oh, and everyone who neg-repped me for stating the clear fault in our approach prior to the game - sit the fuck down and keep quiet.

Don't worry mate, I agreed with you, I could see the writing on the wall before it happened, already a tough enough game as it was, then when seeing the formation I knew we were in for a loss, lucky we didn't get thumped quite frankly.

It's like we had zero preparation coming into the game, I don't understand how anybody can defend that.

1. missing rose, jan big blow
2. no impact sub, brought on 47 millon off the bench in jansen and sissoko, neither of which have a goal between them.
3.liverpool were up for it more

none of the above is an excuse for that tepid, disinterested performance. again, players afraid of that next step.

The mentality is always something to be called into question.. We are just too nice... I thought we are beginning to show when we turned up against chelscum and won 2-0.. But no, the passion lacking against Liverfools who were on such pitiful form we were more pitiful in letting them play..

That cannot excuse Dier's mistake, I'm not attacking our players just being straight.
But if Poch told them - Look lads, today Liverpool will press hard from the front, so we're gonna go back to front We're gonna put, say Sissoko on Clynne and win the 2nd balls from there - then we wouldn't have been in that situation of the CBs being under that heavy pressing pressure.

Why have we spent £55 or so million on three players Poch doesn't particularly want to use?

Our attack always looks pretty stale when we play 4-2-3-1, because we don;t have one player with pace like Mane, Zaha etc. That's why the 3-4-3 worked way better. The wing backs is where our pace is and Erisken and Alli can play in ACM positions in pockets that are difficult for players to pick up.

Winks looked decent when he came on, could actually pass to one of our players. As per usual a lack of a leader or two out there to calm the nerves. Shame as i hate Liverpool, but this result was expected.
