Newcastle have to play B'ham away next, which will be tough (we should know  ) and then Fulham at home.

If they don't get all 3 points against Fulham at home, then we can all honestly say they're in the shit, and there's a very real possibility they'll go down.

PS If they do, I think a cheeky punt for Duff might be in order; he'll have to accept the original wages we offered him, though!

I put a 10 pound bet on Newcastle's first win under Keegan being the home game v Fulham about a month ago. Can't remember the exact payout, but it was pretty high. Also put a chunk of my vCash on it.

Can't see them winning at Brum given both teams current form (Brum played brilliantly against us) but they should beat Foolham. Still hope they don't, no matter how much money I'd win on it.

Regardless of where the finish, the only player i'd be interested in is CNZ. A 10m pound player but we could probably get him for 5-6m as (despite giving good performances each week) he wants to leave - and who could blame him?

It's almost impossible to express just how much I'd love it if Newcastle went down...

That would be two wonderful, unexpected surprises this season!

Duff could crawl down here on his hands and knees, begging for forgiveness and i`d still tell him to fuck off. Let the loser experience life in the championship.
Along with his mate grumpy. Big club my arse.

Nzog is definately their standout player and if we could get him for less than £7m then, like you say, that would be an out and out bargain

He's young and would learn well from someone like Steed. Aside from them both being French, they both have a very aggressive technique and like to take on their man - if we could secure his signature then i'd be well impressed.

 Not bitter then, guys?

I'd forgotten about CNZ. Haven't seen much of him, but everyone raves about him. I wonder where Owen would go if they went down?

Justifiably though. What a twat, yet another nob who went to Newcash purely for the wages, claiming the decision was all about football reasons. What a load of crap.

Him, the Fat Troll, and Scott 'I won't get out of bed for less than 50k' Parker can all fck right off, they all chose money over success and glory and they deserve all they get.

watching footy first last night, it seems toon problems are obvious... they only started looking ok as an attacking force when geremi and martins came on.. what!? you are in a scrap and have power players like geremi and martins and you leave them on the bench??

(not to mention viduka) what a joke.

take bent off us in the summer, and we'll have that martins. oh yeah and that nZogbia..

(n possibly owen and viduka too, just to intensify our training sessions)

Only 3 points above the relegation zone, with Birmingham and Bolton having a game in hand over them it aint looking good. Its 'squeaky bum time' for them.:shake:

I'd piss myself if they were relegated.

I think we should get, Owen or Martins. as well as N'Zogbia. I also like the look of Emre but he wont make the grade at spurs!

I reckon Owen might want to leave at the end of the season, anyway. If he's 100% over his injury problems, he would be an amazing signing for us. IMO, he'd score bags of goals for us, and he'd probably get his England spot back.

He wouldn't score bags of goals for us imo.

and who would he replace? Bent?

I wouldn't be prepared to swap a young, strong, quick, out and out goalscorer with his best years ahead of him with an ageing, small, weak, slowing, ex-out and out goalscorer with his best years behind him.

It might be temporary but right now Owen looks finished.

Personally i wouldn't be interested in 1 single player at the Toon, the only class player they have is Viduka and he is at the end of his career.

hmm you want me to answer that?

4 strikers = players losing their spark, quality & confidence.

defoe, bent, mido, kanoute - all proven goalscorers pre spurs, all ended up going well off the boil and having the fans/media tear them to bits....

need I go on?

EVERYTHING is wrong with that system.

Taylor's a promising defender, but I'd stick him in the same category as Dawson, can be really good when playing alongside a more experienced defender, but otherwise can be prone to stupid mistakes, so not what we need really...

Milner's a decent player too, very hard worker, good cross on him and gets a few goals too, but again, I don't think he's what we're after...
