Just like anyone who said our team of 2017 were "legends" despite winning 12 of the final 13 games and never having actually been top of the league - if you think Liverpool "bottled" this title you are an utter fucking moron. Yes they were seven points clear, but that was way back in January, a seven point gap in January can be overcome because everyone will usually drop at least seven points over such a long period of time. It's not like they've been poor or inconsistent in the second half of the season.

97 points. Just one defeat all year. Not a single point dropped to a team in the bottom half. Nine straight wins to end the season whilst also managing a successful run to the Champions League final. A situation where two teams keep winning like this is unheard of - literally the final full months of the season there was only one point separating them with the pressure as high as it can be and neither side blinked once.

Can't say I'm too sympathetic for that annoying bunch though. This whole "story" has been shoved so far down everyone's throat it's only natural that there's a gag reflex. So for your viewing pleasure, here is a video of the Everton fans arriving back in Liverpool today after our game:

The wankers bit in the end - it is something id say right at the end when everything has died down haha

I genuinely like Everton fans now - they were a laugh and that video cracks me up - very similar to us but we are pretty damn far ahead of them now although think theyll improve...

Except they dropped the 7 points when they drew 4 out of 6 games from the end of January

If I'm not wrong I read somewhere even Wolves were celebrating Citeh victory yesterday!

I guess we should have quite a fair bit of neutral fans on our side comes 1 June!

I heard the same. And you’d expect that by an opposition fan base at an important game. But we all know they were cheering like the rest of the country.

For all those saying that they were 7 points clear at one stage, they were actually 10 points ahead of City and 9 ahead of us. Dress it up however you want, that is bottling it.

And before anyone says yes but City has a game in hand ask yourself this, has anyone mentioned the fact that City have had a game in hand pretty much every week for the last few months? No would be the answer, all you heard was that Liverpool were top of the league by one point so you can’t have it both ways.
