They've done good business if they get Benteke, alongside Milner, Clyne and Firmino. Three PL performers and a little bit of Brazlian magic as the wildcard to replace Sterling. Plus Jordon Ibe should develop futher.

Yep, all in for preseason limiting gelling issues.

Run like an FC that wants to succeed on the pitch unlike our club which is run for success off the pitch.

Don't they still really need a CB

We've got a couple they can have, 2 for 1 on Vlad and Kaboul.

More accurately, run like an FC that has a huge global following, generating much bigger revenues than we do, meaning that they can afford to pay over the odds for players to get them in as soon as possible.

Clyne was a good deal?

I don't think that's true. Last season, Liverpool believed that they about to embark on a return to their domination of English and European football and have been left with an overlarge, overpaid, and underperforming squad, and the less said about their coaching set-up the better. They've neither the revenues nor the prospect of imminent success that would have allowed them to hold onto the likes of Suares or Sterling so, as always, they fall back on the blind loyalty of their fans and a PR department whose output would make Josef Goebbels blush.

Liverpool have agreed a deal for Aston Villa's Christian Benteke, talkSPORT told.

http://talksport.com/football/liver...riker-christian-benteke-anfield-insider-tells

Presuming Villa stick to their word of only selling if his release clause is met then that's over £60m in transfer fees, not including whatever the tribunal sets for Ings and they still haven't addressed the defensive positions they need to strengthen most. Milner, Benteke and Firmino will also be a significant increase to their wage bill.

A lotta money for a relatively inexperienced player with only one year left on his contract.
England international, few years in the Prem now, major upgrade on Johnson think it's a good deal.

Like to add, thats the only good deal they've got so far...!

Sturridge, Ings, Balotelli, Lambert, Borini, Origi, possibly Benteke. So seven, and they only really need three of them.
Ings is all of sudden thinking, "hold on, this arsehole just brought me and now it looks like he is going to sign someone else to be second choice and not play me like Lambert FFS!"

He is literally last seasons Lambert. Everyone heralding it as a good buy and then not get a look in and have probably Firmino start instead of him up front

When the bin dippers end up mid table 16 games in, who's going to be the first to bring up "spend 100mill you need to be challenging for the title"?
