Yeah seems like a sale of the club will go through fairly swiftly, which is a crying shame. Who sets the price though?

How long now before sponsors start to walk away?

Surely there's going to be clauses in the sponsorship contracts to handle what happens if a club is suddenly unable to fulfill their end of the deal? I have literally zero experience of sponsorship contracts, so no idea how they work, but I can't imagine big spenders leaving themselves hanging in the event the club is... I dunno, maybe turns out to be owned by someone who supports and equips the invasion of a peaceful country.

Not just that, there will be break clauses that can be triggered by anything that by association can damage the brand.

Looks like "3" are already starting the process.

Seeing as they are unable to sell kits, I don’t see how Nike can be happy with this at all.

Three can get fucked. It was there to see for years what Chelsea are. Anyone who associated themselves with Chelsea after 2003 are part of the problem.

They'll fall on their feet, they always do.

Main thing we can hope for is that the new owners aren't a City/Newcastle type and more a Villa/Everton type.

Honestly, you guys are really reaching on this one. Chelsea will be absolutely fine, a new buyer will be found quickly, and they’ll continue buying trophies for years to come, just with new dodgy owners.

Maybe, lets see how it pans out.

They will but in the meantime they're making absolutely no money until that sale goes through which takes a long time, even longer when you factor in the government will be involved.

Factor in the atmosphere within the club as well, hopefully it hits their form too.

this could impact their form, the travel arrangements for matches alone are gonna impact morale. Unfortunately we’ve already been gupped 4 times this season by them, Arsenal, Utd, West Ham and Wolves still have them to play so do they now have an easier game on paper?
