I'll just leave this here ..
.

Beggars belief. Both this and the downs syndrome stuff. Really does make me despair. Luckily it seems like in both incidences the overwhelming majority of people are calling these ****s out on it regardless of their footballing allegiance

So after all the shit Sarri has got off their fans and subsequently the media, he’s got them champions league football and could win them the europa league. Plus with the players seemingly willing to down tools when they like it he’s done a pretty good job there. As much as I dislike Chelsea I’m a little happy for him as he seems a fairly decent chap.

He's a bit of a nob to be honest, but I liked his football at Napoli so do have a bit of a soft spot for him in spite of everything.

Is their transfer ban going to stick or is there some BS loophole they can use?

It seems weird that the ban was imposed because they couldn't follow the rules in signing under 16's..........and yet now they're all they can sign?

Ban upheld, although it does mean they can sign u16's though.

That is just glorious.

They can probably find a loophole to make Higuain permanent (though I don't know why they'd want to), but Hazard will either leave for big money now or nothing in a year's time, probably the former, and they can't spend to replace him.

Irony is the language of the FA etc... To see your choices as ironic requires you to be self-aware, and rich, old, white, men are rarely self-aware

I just realised the ban is for 4 windows, not 2. They're kinda fucked :playful:
It's just two windows.

Chelsea will of course take this to CAS but if CAS don't reach a decision before the summer then the ban stands for the upcoming window.

They will take it to CAS and it may get overturned. But very unlikely that will happen for this summer took Barcelona 4 months to get a verdict.

They were banned from signing U16s from the EU/U18s from the rest of the world*. Signing U16s from within the UK is fine.

(The rule is that you can't sign U18s from outside your country unless their families have moved for non-footballing reasons. However, if both clubs and the player are within the EU then you can sign 16-17 year olds, because banning it would be against EU law. That obviously applies to us from now, but if we leave the EU then we won't be able to do that any more - so we wouldn't have been allowed to sign the likes of Nabil Bentaleb or Troy Parrott)
