He's only trending on twitter right now. That's one life goal he can tick off the list.

I didn't catch the entire U21 game, I assume he did well? The general consensus is very positive on twitter.

I honestly don't see the fuss he's good going forward but shocking defensively and quite lazy too

I thought Rose was a LW but he's actually a far better LB. Maybe the reversal for young Walker - a better RW than a RB.

Give him a chance. He was up against Mata and Capel and they didn't run riot against him. He's still only a kid and will improve defensively without doubt. It's not like there is an abundance of top class left wingers in the Premiership for him to have to deal with and when he comes up against one of the few we have options. Either we play the more defensively sound Corluka, or we set up tactically to double up and contain the opposing left sided player.

"shocking defensively"?

I do wonder what game people watch sometimes. Slight over exaggeration.

Agree........

He looks like a real fucking player.....quick as fuck, direct and has an end product,ok he needs work a little on his defensive qualities, but nothing like the crap i am reading about him on here.He will be a massive star very soon.

He should be our RB NOW!!!!...The only thing Charlie has on him is he is Luka's best mate.

He's not "shocking defensively" but neither is he good defensively.

He's no better or worse at defending than Hutton, although he has more pace to get him out of his often bad positioning. It'll be interesting to see if the same people who slag Hutton off for his lack of defensive skills do likewise for Walker, I doubt it.

Marcelo and Dani Alves are the best right now and their both nothing special defensively.

I can't think of any full backs that are excellent going forward and excellent at defending.

He's better than Hutton defensively if you ask me, though that isn't saying much.

Sandro is going to be a big part of our team. So we can't keep playing Corluka and Benny. Too defensive, too predictable.

Praise the lord we have a genuine attacking threat from full back. I'll be genuinely excited to see VDV tuck in, and Walker bomb around the outside.

He could potentially be the end of Aaron Lennon. Pace, Power, and a bit of flair.

I agree. He's quick but he's not very bright and poor defensively.

This. He's young though he can only improve.

Yes Rose at LB looks better than Rose at LW.
Not sure about Walker player from LW.
His crossing is more hit and miss than Lennons.
I think he's better picking the ball up from deep.
We'll just have to wait and see how Walker and -
Lennon will play with each other next season.

So Walker is now Dani Alves?

Walker is a great prospect. He's very good going forward, but is suspect at the back. He's still young and can obviously only get better. Unlike you, I don't think Walkers the best thing ever, he's a good youngster with high upside. He actually has to realise that potential before I swing from his balls.

At the minute his defensive skills are on par with Hutton's. What the fuck that has to do with Alves I don't know. If you are implying Walker and Alves are similar levels then it's the most ridiculous comment i've heard this year. It's always the same on here. A player is either total shit or the best player ever.

Do i have to explain everything mate....ok lets do it slowly for you....

I was merely highlighting that the modern Full backs, Like Daniel Alves, are not as good defensively as they are going forward, like Walker, whats so fucking confusing. So walker represents the modern RB..imo.
Hutton on the other hand..IMO..is just useless.IMO
I said i think Walker will be a one of the finds of the season and be an England regular, why would that wind you up??? would you be happier if he was to play for Scotland ..maybe thats why you stick up for the hopeless Hutton:oops:

He seems very similar to Bale. Tall, strong, quick, direct, can make a cross, has an eye for goal but leaves a lot to be desired defensively.

I think Walker definitely needs to be with us next season. He and Corluka can alternate at RB, and I wonder if Walker can make the same move to RM as Bale did at LM. But he's still young so he will make mistakes, which he'll only improve from with the assistance of match experience and that experience needs to come at our club and with our fans.

And it's not like we're not used to right backs making mistakes when we've had Hutton and Kaboul there for a large part of the season.
