IN FOR THE KYLE Tottenham plot second Kyle Joseph swoop after highly-rated Scotland youth star rejected £150,000 transfer

TOTTENHAM are set to go back in for Wigan hotshot Kyle Joseph after his superb hat-trick against Burton in midweek.

Spurs made a £150,000 offer for the Scotland Under-21 striker in the last window.

And Jose Mourinho’s side also put a deal on the table to tempt him.

But Joseph said no — and also snubbed Sheffield United.

Spurs took midfielder Alfie Devine from Wigan and he has made progress.

So they hope it persuades Joseph there is a path to the first team.

The Latics need to come out of administration or face losing a handful of players this week.

They have seven on short-term deals and will not be able to keep them unless new owners are in.

Although the report says he's Scottish he's actually born in Barnet but has represented Scotland at various junior levels. If we rate him sign and leave him at Wigan for 12-18 months.

In all fairness if we signed him would Wigan even want him? no disrespect but Wigan are in a mess near the bottom of league 1, they’d be developing another teams player and could probably replace him with a more experienced striker on loan. (In fairness he did just score a hat trick)

We should be bringing in 2-3 of these type of signings every year. Even if they don't work out, we can still sell them on for a great profit. Hard part I suppose is convincing them to sign on the paltry wages we offer.

Didn’t seem to hurt us this past transfer window bringing in Lavinier, Omole, Ferguson and Devine..

Sorry for being ignorant, but are we known to offer/pay lower wages to youth than our rivals?

Chelsea had the likes of Hudson Odoi and Mount on £40k before they'd played a first team game, didn't they?

Solanki was on 30k a week when Kyle Walker- Peters was on £300 per week. It's not us that are wrong in this example....

Loan backs are becoming increasingly normal.

Maybe Devine can have a quick word with him and convince him to sign. We can never have enough talented youth players.

Nothing new but Ali Gold confirming interest

Wigan's highly-rated 19-year-old Scottish striker Kyle Joseph is a player football.london understands Spurs have been keeping a close eye on.
The teenager's current contract ends this summer and if he does move on, Wigan would be entitled to compensation.
There is plenty of interest in Joseph, who has scored five goals in 12 League One appearances in his first season of senior football, with Sheffield United, Celtic and Rangers all believed to be interested in the young striker.
Tottenham will not enter a bidding war for the striker though if someone moves for him during this window.
That is because there is plenty of expectation surrounding some of the younger players already at the club, Troy Parrott and Dane Scarlett in particular.

Don't know what's up with the formatting but I'm on mobile so hopefully its clear enough
