as our carling cup game with everton has been confirmed for the 27th, it falls on my dads 50th birthday. my dad and i always go up the lane (season tickets blah). i need the forum's help with ideas to make this birthday more than special.

i have emailed the club to try and get him down in the dressing room pre-match, but no cigar, i also tried to send a shirt in to be signed, but no cigar.

i have had confirmed a birthday message on the jumbotron and in the programme but need other ideas that we could do on the night?

the lads that we go up with suggested a piss up in the billy nic, and trying to slip the poledancer some cash for a special birthday surprise but not sure!

any suggestions are appreciated

Yeah a good time in the Billy Nic would go down well, you could both go to a stadium tour before the match? I think they run very often.

The stadium tours are actually much better than people think, that comes from frequent goers to the Lane.

What times do Stadium Tours run?
Stadium Tours operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 14:00 and at 11:00 and 14:00 on Saturdays. No tours operate on match days and if operationally necessary, we have to cancel tours at short notice for UEFA/FA requirements.

thats that one out

so do stadium tours run on matchday or not? i would love to do that and get some photos with him in the ground. Could also sort out a shirt for him with something like 'dad 50' on it and maybe try and get a couple of players to sign it if we see them around.

ok fair enough seen that they dont run on match days:bang:

As Chris has just said above the stadium tours are only Tuesdays and Thursdays 11.00 and 14:00. Considering the match will be on a Wednesday night why not book a stadium tour for the Tuesday before?

Are you a member of an official spurs supporters club, if so get your chairman to request, at least the signed shirt - If no luck drop a line to the Tottenham Trust, i am sure they would help you out - Seems inconceivable that a long term spurs fan and season ticket holder couldn't get his bloody shirt signed, especially on his 50th birthday!

How about making it a VIP day? You can go in one of the lounges before the game & have dinner & it includes a ticket & usually food & drink after.

Not really, if you think about it...there are about 100 season ticket holders having their birthday every day! Lots of shirts to sign there.

Not sure how you should celebrate it but for my dad's 50th I emailed the club and asked them to send him a birthday letter, which they did and they also sent a signed team photograph.

I emailed the customer service which is [email protected] and just banged on about how my dad is a life long fan, blah, blah!

Email the hospitality about the VIP trip, this is what my dad done when we went on a VIP day to watch them against Everton, wasn't too badly priced either [email protected]

thanks netty i have e-mailed both hospitality and customer care so will await responses of those, i have also e-mailed the tottenham supporters trust as also suggested so i thank you all for the suggestions. hopefully it will all fall together and it will be a great day for him.

p.s i added a cheeky little note on the bottom of the e-mail to request possibly gaining entry to the players lounge post-game, as i feel this would be just as good, i.e a few photo opportunities

Getting a shirt is a good idea, although i dont like the Dad 50 bit as much

Why not just get the year he was born on instead, so just get the number 59 on the back

You could get an apostraphe infront of the 59 maybe?

The signed letter would be awesome, get that sorted for your dad!
