I love Kaboul, seems like a massive lovely bastard. Wouldn't swap him for any centre back around (well maybe Piqué, Thiago Silva or Kompany - but I wouldn't love them as much).

Imagine Kaboul and Kompany at CB..... Like a couple of enormous mastiffs on the lawn of some country mansion.

hmm.

KABOUL IN NO RUSH TO SIGN NEW SPURS DEAL

Tottenham are eager to tie down their best players to new long-term contracts but defender Younes Kaboul is unlikely to put pen to paper any time soon.

Goal.com revealed earlier this month that the Frenchman’s agent was in London to discuss a new deal with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, but the player is understood to have been less than impressed with the offer.

Kaboul, who was ruled out of Euro 2012 this week with a knee injury, is happy to bide his time before signing a new deal amid reported interest from Spanish giants Barcelona.

I remember a few members on here saying he was one for the future and was a bit upset that we sold him to Portsmouth

Good call to those guys

Thanks :)

Oh, and great news that he may sign a new deal with us.

Sad for him that he misses the Euros but perhaps good for us...he will be first choice for France soon, and hopefully for Spurs for years to come...let's hope that "no rush to sign a new deal" story is just the usual agent holding out for more money (that's their job, I suppose). He could have gone to PSG last year, but preferred to stay, even when it was not clear he would be starting. His value has certainly not dropped since; let's hope his sentiments have not changed
