Has been the best centre back this year by far. It used to be King + 1 other, but these days it is Kaboul + 1 for sure.

He has the bag, he is quick, strong, can pass, excellent in the air, and can strike the ball! Complete centre back with a huge future if he keeps his head.

The problem with him at Spurs before was concentration, he had all the tools but his concentration was poor. I saw some Youtube vids of him and he did make a good number of mistakes for Auxerre that led to goals. At Pompey I think he stopped worrying about his hair and started concentrating on football and to be fair he has been absolutely brilliant since coming back

I remember a few members on here saying he was one for the future and was a bit upset that we sold him to Portsmouth

Good call to those guys
I wasnt on here the. But I always said it. When he arrived he ahd everythign to be a star, except experience. Pace, Power, great in the air, loves a tackle. Positionally he has improved massively this season, and now has the confidence to lead our backline as opposed to having to partner King or Gallas. Thought he'd be like Dawson, a number 2 really, were as King and Gallas are number 1s. But he has come on so much.
Brilliant player.

Here's a question - if Kaboul added a few more goals to his game would he be as good as Vermaelen? Both of them rock solid, but fall foul to the odd lapse in concentration. Is there really that much between them?

No. In fact, if Eunace added more goals to his game I'd be tempted to say he shades it. Given the choice between them as a straight defender, I'd choose him over Vermaelen.

I actually rate Kaboul above Vermaelan. I think the goals he scores actually makes people come to the conclusion that hes better than he really is. If i were to choose id be tempted tosign kolchielny instead as i rate him more highly at least this season.

It is very positive that we are working towards getting our key players tied down.

Perhaps a big one is coming? Modric new contract perhaps? Would be positive to get him tied down before the Euros and send a message to other teams but then I can see this one dragging, if we don't make CL I am sure he will go.

Great news when it happens. The progress he's made since he first arrived has been tremendous

I <3 Younes and have since day 1, really. Hope he signs a whopping 5 year contract and stays with us forever!

He's been an absolute rock at the back for us this season, and with a partner he can play with week in, week out he should be even better.

Vertoghen and Kaboul? Yes please!

Get Kaboul tutoring Caulker and showing him the ropes. Bob's your uncle.

Has really blossomed with the likes of Gallas and King as his partners/mentors, deserves contract extension and glad he is looking like signing on to stay longer.

Really good player.

I met Kaboul the other day when I played at WHL for my mates company, he was a top guy & said a number of times that he wanted to get above the Arsenal & cement Champs League! He also is absolutely f*cking huge!!!

I love Kaboul, seems like a massive lovely bastard. Wouldn't swap him for any centre back around (well maybe Piqué, Thiago Silva or Kompany - but I wouldn't love them as much).
