haha

It's like the Harry Kane every answer in one to everything.

Harry, good point at the Bridge? H: Yeah no definitely.

Harry, disappointed to lose at home to Everton? H: Yeah no definitely.

Harry, great win 6-1 at United? H: Yeah no definitely.

Not to forget that Kane is obviously delighted most of the time.

Yeah I liked what I saw from him a lot, looked really good in the air in his duels and I like how he was aggressive a few times in stepping up and applying pressure to the opposing forward who was about to receive the ball.

He wasn't shaky in nature like I feel Sanchez is. The more he plays the better he will become, promising signs IMO.

Experienced public speakers are good at breaking out the reliable "Well, that's a very good question". Unfortunately for athletes, that's not usually a credible response to a question from a sports journalist.

All this talk of Joe Rodon and Harry Kane being inarticulate in interviews reminds me of an old Steve Coogan joke...

“They say, ‘Oh, David Beckham—he’s not very clever.’ Yeah. They don’t say, ‘Stephen Hawking—shit at football.’”

Point being, I couldn't care less how they speak as long as they produce the goods on the pitch.

Bale does this too I've noticed.

I do it myself. Don't know where I picked it up but I've been doing it for years. It doesn't annoy me enough to make a conscious effort to stop. I use sort of and kind of too much too.

I thought he played really well. The first 10 minutes or so he looked nervous which lead to the first mistake. But he brushed it off and defended really well the rest of the game until the sloppy header back which he just mistimed completely.

Looks like poor Joe is going to be the latest in a long line of players that people constant spell incorrectly.

Anyway, for the avoidance of doubt...

A lot of people use Obviously as their 'safe word' when speaking in uncomfortable situations.

So wait- when you’re naked, hanging from the ceiling of a dungeon and being mercilessly beaten beaten with a belt by a rather large dominatrix- you reckon “obviously” is a better safe word than, say, “elephant?”

Asking for a friend.

I think in that situation your Friend should just shut the fuck up and go with it!
