It's hard to say thus, but in a way i really like Wilshere.

Obviously I, like every other sane person, despise him. But, at the same time, if one of our local boys gave the same amount of stick to arsen*l I wouldn't exactly have a problem with that. He is an Arsen*l player, but he cares about that, which is not necessarily what the average premier league player does today. He understand the rivalry and uses it, which I cannot but respect in some way.

I reluctantly respect him somewhat. When he has played in derbies, he's the only Arsenal player that has treated the game as a derby while he's on the field. He's been talking smack, got in our players faces and dived into tackles.

Whereas other Arsenal players of his era, like Özil, Szczesny, Walcott and so forth have been bantsing away on social media and done their selfie thing in the games they've happened to win.

At the same age Darren Anderton had played over thirty more games than Wilshire has managed. That's almost three seasons in Wilshere years!
