To be fair mate eriksen if he goes to Madrid will pick up silverware like it's going out of fashion and wages they barely go a season without winning something at spurs he could have been there 10 years and won nothing still.
As for last night we was two nil down and it was too easy for them especially as our defence has got progressively worse this season we are struggling to keep clean sheets we have the worst record in the top four maybe even top six.
The stadium I'm not convinced will be a game changer like many think it will be or are we to assume that levy will suddenly jump out of the shadows with a Tommy gun shouting to the rest of the top six "look out there is a new kid in town" as that is not happening he will I'm sure maintain a rigid and predictable company policy of frugality.

the stadium has already seen 6 or 7 players near on double their wages, as well as Poch. pretty big game changer right there. if we was still at the old WHL do you think if a team came in and offered Son his new wages he wouldn't think about it?

if our annual turnover with other events does hit the rumoured 400m a season, we will be in a position to keep the wages rising offer players better wages to sign for us. Willian went to Chelsea because they offered more, Mane went to Liverpool because they offered more, and I'm sure there are others like Batshuayi.

with transfers themselves if the player is being asked for is 40m Levy might offer £40m, instead of £35m

but none of us know what will happen till we have had at least 3-5 season in it, but because we've scrimped and scrapped since we got permission for the build, even though the figures where different before, the Levy won't spend mob will always have doubts

Mmmm not sure but I think the latest turnover figure is around 380m so I suppose the 400m mark is quite conservative it certainly will be a cash cow levy will love it.

I remember the 90's and 00's all too well, this has been a breath of fresh air in comparison. Its better to try and fail than not try at all. Its not even heart break, the squad we have at present and the injuries it was always going to be a tough as. And it will be the same again on Sunday and again against Dortmund. All this highlights is the end of further investment in the squad.

They’re about to lose the best manager we’ve had in years and much of the best squad we’ve had in years too. We should have a bright future with all thats going on but alas.

That stadium will be sure be brilliant with EL every season again though. ENIC have got to go if we want any hope of moving forward.

over reaction from someone posting something that might not even happen. why not wait and see the future instead of predicting it

What a load of shit. It's so much better being a Spurs supporter now then it was in the 90s.

Frustrating more than depressing. The 90s were dire and uninspiring.

We are now in a strong position but keep falling at the final hurdle.

I would love to see the likes of Kane, Eriksen, Son etc win a trophy.

With the quality of the football player the last three seasons I would have expected a win by now.

Worse teams have won a trophy.

not in the last 3 years, only the rich have won one

edit: apologies I forgot Leicester:cry:

When it comes to trophies we're joint 9th with Swansea and Birmingham in this decade.

as you've provided a stat, it would be good to know the list below. I expect Man C, Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal to be the top 4, but Liverpool have only won 1 and they are not joint and can't think of many that have won 2 bar possibly Leicester

in fact looking at the list of winners for each of the 3 domestic, you could actually make that joint 5th as the 4 I mentioned have won more than 1, the others for 5th spot only hold 1 win in that time

Kind of missed my point. I wasn't talking money, I was talking squad quality.

We have been better than Arsenal but they have won a trophy,

we will have money coming in for 2 NFL matches, eventually concerts and other events. hopefully a naming rights, and a better shirt sponsor in blue. hopefully merchandise will go through the roof on match days, and eventually we sign players that means we can rotate more, have less injuries and hopefully take the next step.

if we had never gone for the new stadium and stayed at the Lane, we might of not even had the squad we have today

i dont think its spurs thats the problem, its football in general.

Spurs have peformed amazingly in past 10 years, we have tried to do things properly, spending money we have, giving youth a chance, playing lovely football, developing a squad instead of just splashing the cash.

Unfortunately it has become incredibly difficult to win trophies now or to even reach a final without spending like crazy or getting lucky with a fantastic manager.

This is as good as its going to get. I dont think an extra 20,000 people at the lane is going to make a significant enough difference. We wont start giving 300k a week wages to 10 to 15 players. We should just maintain our top 6 status.

JFC how disrespectful to people that actually have depression.

I suffer from chronic depression and who fucking cares how people categorise depression? Disrespect is an intentional thing and I'm pretty comfortable the OP didn't want or mean to offend anyone. YOU made the big deal out of it.

I'm more offended that snowflakes out there feel like they have the right to call people out for the smallest indiscretion. It's a free country.

I don't see that much depressing about the progress we have made over recent years,

Sure, losing to Chelsea was a disappointment but it feels like we are on the cusp of something special.

It's chilly being on this cusp for 5 years.

I suffer from it too, yet didn't like it. Perhaps we have different mentalities towards it, but that doesn't make me or anyone else who feels the same a snowflake. It's a free country as you say, right? So anyone can have an opinion on something and speak up if they don't like how something is particularly worded.

Sometimes I wonder whats worse - Enic doing their level best to consistently fuck up spurs or the Gov't and their Brexit deal?
