Isn't this a bit daft in the age of online shopping?
There is no online in Southend.

Said the same for when they opened the Chelmsford store. Which is now closed
Well, roger me senseless, something I actually know something about! My brother works as part of the High Chelmer shopping centre management team....
Rightso
Spurs Shop in Chelmsford closed only because the site of the shop forms part of a parade of shops that have been purchased and will be demolished to make way for a brand new John Lewis and riverside access. They could have renewed on a short term lease (as they wanted to as apparently that shop was their most profitable outside of the WHL stores) but the new landowner wanted ridiculous cash for another 12 months before they are handover to the developer.
Spurs currently negotiating for a unit in Chelmsford town centre for September I believe.
Who'd ever thought a guy working in a shopping centre would have useful Spurs info....though probably stretching the definition of "useful" there...
I'm always amazed at adults who wear football shirts or even the casual wear of 'their team' ... its akin to dressing up in a superman costume... dressing up like your hero's.I don't understand your logic. Are you genuinely asking that question (the answer is Spurs fans of all ages) or are you trying to throw some kind of vague insult at anyone who does go there but isn't a child?

Weird.
So yes... its probably some kind of vague insult. I don't even plan on allowing my children to wear this crap.
It's also a massive rip off.
It's not common knowledge yet, consider yourself one of the special ones
I thought the new John Lewis was going more into the Debenhams car park, you know that gravel trap behind Gap and near Loch Fyne and Prezzo?Well, roger me senseless, something I actually know something about! My brother works as part of the High Chelmer shopping centre management team....

Nobody.
That's why the Chelmsford one shut down.
Saafend is a toilet, can't see a store there surviving either.
Wrong - it shut down because it was part of the new development and building was/is being pulled down
It's a good point, but I refer you to @LarryCatt's post aboveEr... so why didn't it relocate to one of the many empty units in Chelmsford, if business was so good?

I'm sensing some deep rooted pyschological issues Mr Ben. Do you want to talk about it, in the strictist of confidence of course?
They are relocating
