Said the same for when they opened the Chelmsford store. Which is now closed

Well, roger me senseless, something I actually know something about! My brother works as part of the High Chelmer shopping centre management team....

Rightso

Spurs Shop in Chelmsford closed only because the site of the shop forms part of a parade of shops that have been purchased and will be demolished to make way for a brand new John Lewis and riverside access. They could have renewed on a short term lease (as they wanted to as apparently that shop was their most profitable outside of the WHL stores) but the new landowner wanted ridiculous cash for another 12 months before they are handover to the developer.

Spurs currently negotiating for a unit in Chelmsford town centre for September I believe.

Who'd ever thought a guy working in a shopping centre would have useful Spurs info....though probably stretching the definition of "useful" there...

I don't understand your logic. Are you genuinely asking that question (the answer is Spurs fans of all ages) or are you trying to throw some kind of vague insult at anyone who does go there but isn't a child?
I'm always amazed at adults who wear football shirts or even the casual wear of 'their team' ... its akin to dressing up in a superman costume... dressing up like your hero's.

Weird.

So yes... its probably some kind of vague insult. I don't even plan on allowing my children to wear this crap.

It's also a massive rip off.

Shit, I might as well get Super Jan on the back of the new one then.

I thought the new John Lewis was going more into the Debenhams car park, you know that gravel trap behind Gap and near Loch Fyne and Prezzo?

I also heard it was only going to be a John Lewis "Home" - which considering we already have a Tesco Home is a bold move.. but then people love John Lewis, makes them feel upper class!

I hope a new Spurs shop does open somewhere, there's plenty of empty units in Meadows now that Waterstones/Mad House, that skate shop and whatever else was in that corner has gone?

I'm sensing some deep rooted pyschological issues Mr Ben. Do you want to talk about it, in the strictist of confidence of course?

He still hasn't told us what's wrong with wearing a Superman costume? I'm talking about the high quality ones of course, none of this fathers for justice nonsense.
