I hope we aren't getting rid of Kaboul. Seems to have the physicality and technique to become a world class player. Add a little maturity to that and a year's extra experience in England and I'm almost certain he will be an excellent player for us.

All the rest is pretty obvious. No shocks. Cheers for the info though.

I agree. I can't see getting rid of Kaboul any more than say Taraabt. I could see either going out on loan, but you don't give up on youth after such little time. That being said, I can't see KPB staying.

I agree with sending players out on loan, i'm surprised we havent done more often. I'm sure some Premier League clubs would've been interested in Kaboul or KPB for a few months.

Guys, i know your only discussing the reasons why you may or may not have been banned from COYS but we'd be grateful if this thread doesn't descend into a 'slating another site thread' and rather it be kept on topic.

No no, you're right. They're just kind of funny. :)

Back on topic: I kind of think that Ramos clearing out rumors may be a little exaggerated; I can see Robbo leaving, but Chimbo has been playing under Ramos and both Kaboul and KPB are young and untested. As for Berbs, when has he not been rumored to be on the way out? Lennon seems unlikely too...I can see Wendy making a few moves, strengthening the defense and the midfield, but not a mass exodus.

Most of what has been said seems credible and in keeping with the mood music coming out of the Lane. I think we will learn a little more about who is is still in Ramos plans from who starts the remaining games.

Of the squad he inherited from Jol, I suspect the only players who can look forward with any certainty to playing for us next season are Keane, King (subject to a miracle cure), Berbs if he choses to stay, and probably Malbranque and Zokora.

Robinson, Cerny, Stalteri, Lee, Gardner, Rocha, Ghaly and Tainio are gone, and it is likely Alnwick, Chimbonda, Kaboul and Boateng can be added to that list. Lennon and Jenas have to the end of the season to impress. Dawson and Bent will go if we get decent offers, which we will. Most of the senior reserves, Daniels, Mills, McKenna, Barcham will go.

Taarabt will stay unless he is a silly boy and kicks up about not playing.

Hutton, Woodgate and O'Hara are Ramos boys and will be here next season. Not so sure about Gilberto.

Ramos himself has said there won't be major upheaval and that he's in the main happy with the squad - just one or two positions need strengthening.

Maybe someone got the translation wrong.

EddieBailey - I think you pretty much nailed it. With one exception: Huddlestone.

I suspect that, unless the club get a stupid bid, Big Tom will stay as Ramos seems to be giving him time to develop into a position (eg creative CM, CB etc).

Robbo, i hope, will stay but it won't surprise me - the board appear to be very "instant results" this year so far and have apparently decided to strike a line through anything we may have achieved in the last 30 odd months and just clear out, let everything start from stage 1 again. They can afford it, afterall.

Lee & Chimbonda going doesn't surprise me or upset me anymore - if anything i want Lee to be getting games and Wendy isn't playing him. I like the guy and think he's still got at least a couple of years of competitive football ahead of him, maybe even in the Champions League with PSV, for all those who said he isn't good enough for us. :|

Chimbonda has been on my "take or leave" list for a while now but Hutton has shown he's got more than enough talent to step up into RB for the first team. Despite my feelings that, whatever Bales talent, at his age he should be in the reserves getting strong, not being put in the line of fire and risking a player that could become one of the best left backs in the league. I figure that BAE is being treated as an unknown quantity for the time being but i guess his attitude has given him the opportunity. Lets hope he takes it. Giblets... well, who knows what.

Surprised there's no mention of O'Hara - despite his obvious technical ability, i would imagine his lack of pace is frustrating Wendy and he will be one on the edge.

Teemu we need to keep right now - unless there's some real top level midfielder lined up i think even the hardiest fans will admit he's our best shot at controlling the middle of the pitch, as long as he can stay f*cking fit!

Yes, I forgot Thudd. A tricky one, but I agree more likely to stay than to go.

Oh, and Bale is a definite keeper. Assou-Ekottu will probably stay, if only because no-one is going to rush to buy a crocked player.

Think that is everyone!

That to me, means the conjecture surrounding the likes of KPB and Kaboul is wishful thinking on some alleged itk's part.[/quote]

They certainly shouldn't pass them on with their information, for the very good reason that it then becomes difficult if not impossible to distinguish which is which. BEN is particularly bad for this (and his, er, highly individualistic English makes life difficult enough anyway).

As long as you don't include ...

Cygan
Von Bronkhurst (sp?)
Stepanovs
Jeffers
Vivas
Diawara
Wreh
Richard Wright
Luzhny (sp?)

I'll reserve judgement on Lickle Feo Walnut at the moment but the kid has a big price tag to live up to.

That's just been cut by about £3mil, if the reports are to be believed...

something about his old club desperate for cash, they closed the deal early with two easy payments meaning he's only cost them £9mil total, yada yada yada, i dunno, something about Alderaan being peaceful, having no weapons, you can't possibly... then waffle - wasn't really listening to be honest.

However if you buy enough 'unknows' the odds are that you will have the odd Vieira, Anelka in there. Genius?????????????????????????? Bit strong if you ask me :shake:

Most of that already doing the rounds in the papers, except Lennon is hotly tipped to leave.

If Boateng and Kaboul are sold, Comolli should be fired. Spending £13m on two players who made minimal impact over the season is ridiculous. We could have got one decent first team player in the summer. A centre back or central midfielder wou;dn't have goner amiss.

FWIW I don't think Gilberto will stay. He's 32 next month and Levy said he was bought as cover for Bale and Ekotto. We'll have one or both back next season, and I can see us going for a decent LB in the summer.

It remains to be seen if BAE is first team quality. Gilberto hasnt had much of chance Id find it surprising if he was just ditched after only a few months.

I think that is the key point. If we are not careful we will end up back at square 1 next season.
I for one do not wish to see wholesale changes, our current squad is very strong bar possibly a keeper, a couple of quality midfielders, and possibly another defender.
The only players I would not mind seeing the back of would be Cerny, Zokora, Boateng, Rocha, Chimbonda and Lee.
