from Paul at spurs oddyssy, board owner.

Cannot offer any confirmation, but a poster in whom I have faith says Eto'o and his agent were at The Lane today ............................

I stole this from FTL, they seem to think Paul wouldn't have posted it unless assured it was true.

interesting, especially if it comes from the SO owner, he won't want to be perceived as a WUM.

But I'm not going to cream myself until the deal is signed and he is announced on the official site, which I still think is unlikely.

Isn't he supposed to be playing tomorrow? (Eto'o, not Paul..)

Yeah Eto'o will be playing for Barca in Mancs. One thing i would say is that it is common knowledge that he would be in the UK. God i hope it's true though, thanks for posting

If this is correct I'd hope it's a big push to prove to Berba that next season we are going to make a big push for Champs League rather than as his replacement. Playmaker and scorer in Berbs and an out and out scorer in Eto'o? :hump: :hump:

Interesting news.

For me Eto would suit the Premiership, because of his pace and phsique. I also believe that he'd score many more goals than Berbs.

Not that I want Berbs to go, but as a replacement I'd be happy with him.

Would be very surprised if Eto had been given time out from training with Barca on the eve of a massive game - now if he had been seen on Weds morning after the game then I would believe it a little bit more - just my opinion though

I'd love that DVD but I reckon that Eto would be a replacement.

Still I'd go a little :hump: if it was true

If we did get Eto'o and got rid of Berbs, I'd love for us to play a similar formation to Liverpool and play Modric behind Eto with Lennon on one wing and maybe a new player on the left wing, or Lennon on the left wing and Jenas on the right with any combo of Hudd/Zokora/Jenas as the two holding midfielders.

2nd time in 3 days must mean some serious negotiations are underway. Berba and Eto'o will be the best striking duo in Europe.

If we went with a Liverpool formation I can't see Jenas as a part of it. He's not a winger, not a creative man in the middle of the three and not a proper holding man as one of the two.

Sounds a bit like I'm really slating Jenas here. I'm not, I've aways been a fan but he can only really work optimally in a 4-4-2 with a Tainio-type holding mid in the middle or as one of a midfield three in an 4-3-3/4-5-1.

Well I was in the pub with E'too earlier and he said he was well happy and looking forward to linking up with Keano next season!

He also said Berbs was a big jessie boy and he was gonna score and set up way more goals in one season than Berbs did in two.

These are not my words, they are E'too's.

I would show you the pics but unfortunately my camera spontantiously combusted, then was struck by lighting before being run over by a lorry. I think the pics may be salavagable...

Sure hope so; and until it is fact that he's gone I'm living in dream of that partnership and the EPL title.

Interesting. Not getting too excited though.

Okay, I lie. I can't help myself. If this is true, I'm in fucking heaven.
