During Jaspers Q&A yesterday (update 345+346), he actually mentioned Hulk but it seems it didnt make it to the RO (perhaps because he didnt say whether we were interested):
"He was been wrongly shopped around (Agents) for 12 months loan with option with no takers."

This was in response to a poster thinking we shoudl make a cheeky bid for him.

Cant really understand what "wrongly" means in that sentence though.

I think Jaspers info implies that we at least have been asked whether we would be interested in loaning Hulk, and it seems we werent at the time of asking at least.

Not necessarily. Both are adaptable and can play either wing. Both can play relatively central too. If he's available on a loan, there's is no harm whatsoever in picking that up in addition to Lamela. See how he is, evaluate it then make a decision. If we're not sold, thanks for the 12 months, if he is, get him in.

Hulk would be absolutely no use on the left wing. His only MO is cutting in on his left and shooting. That's it. His game is simple but can be effective.

I mean, if he's only on loan I'd be happy with him.

He is overrated and overpriced, sure, but it's not like the guy doesn't have talent. He can score goals like the Bale vs. West Brom, Southampton, Sunderland, City ones as well. I think he's very suited to the English game too, and if it's only on loan it'd be a hell of a deal.
