A lot of people don't know this about me but I have a heart condition (yet to be proven it's spurs related but I can guarantee it is haha) I always thought that watching us when we were fighting for cups in the 90's/00's or recently fighting for a champions league spot was stressful but being in a title race, I can genuinely say I don't think I have ever felt stress like it.
I can quite literally feel my blood pressure about to explode when watching us, some games it's OK (especially recently because I just feel like we can beat anyone which makes things far less stressful.)
But about 4 weeks ago it was unbearable, I literally found myself trying to only watch snippets of the game, trying to keep myself busy whilst watching it so I wasn't getting to "involved" but my passion for us prevents me from doing so LOL.
I dread to think what it will be like if we are in a final day showdown, with a win making us lift the trophey.
My Mrs is convinced Spurs is going to make me keel over but honestly this season is the first time I have ever really let the stress get to me, I am really relaxed in every other aspect of my life.
It's bloody hard work but at the same time amazing to know we are in a title race, I guess if we do this every season it won't be that difficult as I won't fear that it may be the last time for a long time etc, although to be fair it's obvious to me this team will be challenging every season for the near future now, I actually believe we will win it multiple times over the next few years (maybe not the year the stadium is being built.)
But I am curious to know if anyone else is struggling to watch matches with the same level of intensity and focus as previous seasons because of the title race? Is anybody suffering from adverse effects?
I find if we get an early goal I relax more but even then it's tough.
I am pretty sure I have ulcers at this point in time and that's just thinking about Vardy's steptoe rat face so you can only imagine what the title race is doing LOL. (Joking, but seriously, anal leakage is common right?)
In all seriousness I never thought a title race would be this stressful?
