Starting a running centric thread (marathons, 100m races, etc).
Last Friday, Jasmin Paris, a British woman, became the first woman to finish the Barkley Marathons.
For those who may not know, Barkley Marathons is one of the toughest ultramarathons in the world. I believe currently only 20 finished this race in like 38 years. There's a great documentary about this race called Barkley Marathons: They Eat The Young. This is a truly quirky race and the documentary is worth watching.
Also a British guy was the first man to finish this race way back in 1995. Yes there are many years when there are no finishers for this race.
Well done, UK! Both first male and female finishers in this tough race.
