I'd actually be intrigued to see the stats to be honest.

Who does stuff like this? Benny does, that's who!

I love Benny and cannot fathom why people would want to get rid of him. I'd say he's behind Real Madrids Marcelo, and perhaps Ashley Cole.. But Cole turns 32 this year.. I would actually rather have Benny than Cole, not just because Benny is obviously 10 times cooler, but he is also 4 years younger.

The best left back in the world is Ashley Cole. The best right back in the world is Philipp Lahm.

Behind Cole who is there?

Benny has his faults, but who could replace him?

marcelo, coentrao, abidal, alba - players that play for the top two clubs in the world. after them i don't know who you can say is better than benny ... david alaba is an impressive young player, but again already playing for a massive club. people are having a laugh if they think we could sell benny for 10m and replace him with someone better.

Benny has improved a lot the last few seasons, lapses in concentration at times but this is offset with his attacking abilities, lost count the number of times last season we switched the ball from the right to left and Benny would have found acres of space, great on the overlap too. We would be mad to sell him and good left backs are not cheap.. Changing the left sided CB and the LB pre season while trying to change the system would be reckless in my opinion, Benny will do just fine thanks..

Benni epitomises the style and charisma that is Tottenham Hotspur, enjoys playing football in the manner that makes enjoy supporting Spurs.

He is also a mighty fine left-back that perfectly suits our style of play and "philosophy" - much underrated on the outside, much loved on the in.

Long may he stay.

I dunno guys. I mean, we all watch him week in week out, but I'm gonna have to go with Alan Hansen on this one.

when does benny cost us goals? seriously i just don't see it ... i'm sure it's just a tag that has stuck with him from years ago and some are unwilling to change their mind. he's a good defender, 1v1 no one beats him, very aggressive, a smart player who reads situations well, very comfortable on the ball, passes well, attacks when needed. i don't know what else you could ask of him.

This.

Very tidy left back in all departments. Plus the passion he showed in celebrating his goal against Everton was one of the highlights of last season!

Shifting out Benny make no sense at all, this is prob all just rubbish.
The only way I can see Benny leaving is if we get an offer to good to turn down, since it was told we did have some clubs asking for him.
