Also, for those slagging off Dawson (I do too) JT is not Chelsea's most talented CB and Lampard is not their best CM, and yet they both still start for Chelsea...why is this? Does Mourinho not see their lack of ability?

I think we all know the answer.

Very well said sir. At the moment, i'd rather have 11 players with Dawson's attitude and ability, than 11 highly talented sulkers.

Perhaps the club should start doing a little more homework around a players 'personality' before agreeing to a signing. I'd want players who were men and respond to adversity, not those that want away at the first sight of not getting what they want (CL) or seemingly give up. Boy the CL has a lot to answer for.

Anyway, I should hope that there was a little set to at the end of the match. I'd be even more worried if there wasn't.
Yeah. That will win us a top 4 spot. A crap defender with passion. Well done sir.

He plays Terry to stop him shagging his misses?!

Lennon and Bentaleb were both a disgrace after the game, Freund was trying to get them to go across to acknowledge the away support and they both just walked past him to the changing rooms, shows how much they care.

I guess timbo doesn't know bentaleb as well as he claims then

Why is Sherwood continually selecting these players who 'lack passion and a spine' ? Time for them to be 'rested' and some of the rest of the squad or the youngsters given some games.

Given his line ups since he took over, we can guess at which players he trusts more to be on the pitch.

Bentaleb
Lennon
Siggy
Dawson
Adebayor
Walker
Sandro

I would also assume that the following are players who Tim doesn't feel pull their weight, given them often warming the bench.

Capoue
Paulinho (50/50)
Holtby
Townsend
Chadli
Vertonghen (Possibly)

We really need:
Rafa
Gallas
Ledders
Parker

Unfortunately they are over the hill... And I really don't see where we could be getting these kind of characters from in world football at the moment.. I mean, who is available?

De Rossi? Again, getting on.
Xavi? Yeah, I wish.
Gerrard, old and will never leave Pool now.
I'm stumped otherwise

De Rossi, Xavi and Gerrard? First of all those three are just crazy picks. Do people actually think that we can solve this problem by buying more players that have no connection to Spurs? If we want someone who bleeds Tottenham we need to keep and develop players like Townsend, Carroll, Kane, Walker and Rose. We got rid of Caulker who now is the captain for Cardiff in his first season there, selling him was mental, truly fucking stupid. He has the potential to become a really good defender and he was OURS from when he was a child. Perfect future captain material. If Cardiff is relegated I hope we buy him back.

I'd find it hard to believe that Holtby wasn't pulling his weight. You don't captain a German national team (in any age bracket) unless youve got the right mentality.

That and he is passionate, just passionate without the ability to back it up.

He is not a shit defender, he just ain't good enough for where we are aiming.
I agree in that if we were competing in the CL on a regular basis and could afford to and have the prestige to attract the top players then yes. BUT...............we're not.

Now this is in no way me trying to be an itk as I have absolutely no connection to anybody in THFC
This info has come from a girl at work who's husband is a spurs fan and a moderator on another spurs site. Apparently he was talking to another monitor (hope your keeping up!!) who works at the training ground.

Most highly qualified ITK info I've ever read.
Don't fight it mate, you're bona fide ITK.
Anyway it's probably a load of shit but nothing changes.

Is there a Gif of Bentaleb and Lennon shunning Freund at the end of the game? I downloaded the game to try and have a look but couldn't see anything.

We have had this problem before, if you remember when Harry came in he knew what we needed... experienced premier league players with a bit of fight. Sadly we signed 8 players in the summer none of which had played in the premier league before and some of them cannot even speak english ffs. Firstly our transfer policy is insane... all quality signings no matter what people say but not the players or the charachters we needed.

Next thing is we are not a team, we were a bit of a team under AVB, ok dull dross to watch but a team all the same all pushing to the same end. Now it is just a random selection of players (good players) trying to play football. Tim has had a difficult job.

And as for shouting, if I were on the pitch I would probably be screaming in Kyle Walkers face and ask him to explain at what point do you think it is a good idea to do a 40 yard headed back pass to the keeper when the opposition striker is standing next to him.... In fact it is never ok to do a 40 yard headed back pass to the keeper.

Thinking about it now possibly the problem with our players is that they are thick! (rant over)

A lad I know sent me this on email

One of the guys I work with here is reserve team manager at Thurrock…first team manager is ex spur (sort of) mark stimson…he was over at the training ground watching the 21s play WBA and obviously knows Sherwood so was chatting to him.

Sherwood admitted he didn’t cover himself in glory but he said the reason he was so over the top fuming was that when he got back in the changing room after the final whistle loads of the players were d1cking about and laughing and joking. That just about sums those jokers up really.

Don’t blame Sherwood at all. Apparently no-one at board level has spoken to him for 2 weeks. He is a dead man walking
Swear to God if that is true I'm gonna f@cking kill em!

Don't blame Daws if he did give out a bollocking or two in the dressing room to some of our players that look more interested in any but playing for our club.

The question is, if Daws had a go at someone because say they laughed at the wrong moment,
who would have had the inclination to escalate it into something nasty?

In the absence of Rose, I'm thinking Walker.
I can quite imagine the other foreign players sitting around bemused while the 2 brits scrapped on the floor. But that doesn't really explain why sherwood was so shook up.
