Agree, would allow us to shift £20m+ (When you factor in signing on fees or whatever) towards CB purchases which is what we desperately need

I think his poor 1v1 ability and limited passing ability would make him a really bad fit for us so if he goes to WH I won't have any issues. I think he'd be very good in a counter attacking team who transition quickly but Ange likes his wide forwards to be good with ball at their feet when attacking an isolated full back and thats not Barnes strengths. I think his weaknesses would be exposed here as he's quite a limited player, what he does he does well but his skill set, bar his finishing, isn't what we need IMO. Solomon also isn't perfect, he also needs to work on his passing and final ball but he's a significantly better technical dribbler which is what we are lacking.

Think Barnes to WHU makes sense and he's a better fit for them than us given how they play under Moyes.

Decent signing if they get him, but the more I read about Ange's style the less I'm convinced he'd be the right fit for us.

22, LWF and very direct - quite Muller-esque or, for want of a better and relevant comparison, Barnes-esque.

Think Liverpool and Dortmund were sniffing around but might well fit the bill of what we/Ange is looking for - plus the obvious caveat of knowing the Asian market well.
