No problem at all, I've just seen dross like him be coddled during the transfer window and then we end up having to put up with them for another year and they end up costing us points, so I would've liked to have seen us be a little more ruthless.

You don’t much about Conte do you? If he says they won’t play much for him, then they DEFINITELY won’t play.

I think we're waiting on Leicester to sell some players before they can get Winks from us.

He’ll probably end up on loan at Bournemouth in the last week of the window or something like that.

Imo Conte has shown that he is ruthless with players that doesn't figure in his plans. I think this is very clear this pre-season and a different situation from previous years. I also think that Winks deserves more respect than being described as dross. He came through the academy and has given his all for Spurs for many years. He is not good enough in a Conte team challenging for honours, but he is not dross. He is Spurs through and through and we should thank him for his efforts and his service to Tottenham.

For me it's less about the fee and more about doing right by an academy kid (and also getting his wages off the books). I know he may not be the most popular player on here, but if he exits on bad terms with the club, some of our younger guys might take notice. Would love for our academy to continue to be a good source of income for the club.
Really good post.

Lovely lad and one of our own but he just needs to accept he needs to move on.
once he does, I think he will push on again but at the moment he is just losing time.

I think it's more a case of a club paying us what we want rather than him.

Seems like he's keen to crack on and play football

I hope he gets a move that he’s happy with and starts to pick up his game. He was very good for us in the past and I wish him well.

I think it's a bit of both, my guess is at least once Harry's had a chance to move and turned it down. Likewise the club have probably missed at least one chance to move Harry on.
ATM it's a lose lose situation, maybe Harry needs to take a wage cut, and the club need to take a price cut.

He’s only been very good for us in a very few games, never consistently at any point in his career but I totally agree with your general sentiment of wishing him well. ?

His backwards and sideways passing would never suit the fast one touch forward passing game we saw on Saturday.
