Lol fucking hell, he's going to play and win a trophy after one game and we're going to be bantered into the next universe.

Bit early yet, need the dust to settle first but I wouldn't currently put him up there with the absolute legends like Blanchflower, Mabbs and Ledders.

He's been a great player but let's face it, he's wanted to leave for the past couple of years and this is his second time agitating for a move.
That whole City saga and how he behaved changed the way I thought about him and that's probably why I'm not actually sad that he's gone now.
I was fuming after the Neville interview and his refusal to return to training, not to mention the bullshit statement he put out that treated us fans as mugs.

Once he's retired, I'm sure I'll think differently but for now, fuck him.
We move on.

Can't argue with that mate 👌

It's weird, I remember when Bale left I was immediately like I REALLY hope we see him back in a Spurs shirt again. (Pity it was under the circumstances at the time)

With Harry though, I'm not really bothered. Maybe it's because he gave us many good years in his pomp.

Yeah, the Bale move broke me.

I guess with Harry we've been leading up to this point for the last few years, so most of us have just got accustomed to it happening at some point.

I'm sure when it's announced tonight/tomorrow that will change though

Now that he's gone...

How do people think he stacks up compared to Hoddle, Blanchflower, Greaves, Mabbutt, etc..?
Perryman/Mabbutt - The only truely one of our own
Greaves - Greatest pure Goalscorer possibly ever
Blanchflower - founder member of greatness
Dave Mackay - just because....
Gazza - nearest to Genius since Hoddle
Hoddle - Pure Genius

My be unpopular but I'd take any of these against Kane and always would have

I just never walked to the match being excited at the thought of seeing Harry Kane play. Maybe because he was just always so good but in quite a robotic kind of way.

Gazza, Bale, even Ginola and Lennon, hit differently. Pure excitement. And Modric just mesmerised me with his mastery of the ball in ridiculous tight spaces.

Speak for yourself. I went to the Shakthar friendly recently, and was gassed to see Kane. My lad couldn't stop talking about it.

Every time he gets the ball it's amazing.

Oh well.

I'd put Pat Jennings in there as well - about 12 yrs solid service until Terry Neill poached him/whatever

Not to try and tarnish him at all but it seemed to me that after the failed move to City he came across as more sheltered.

Should've been the face and spokesperson of the club always at the forefront he but always seemed to talk more foundly about England achievements than those with Spurs. Especially when doing interviews in the US.

Small thing also I know but since his City move debacle I noticed only once that he used #coys in his social media posts. Think I may be gone a bit mad...

Kane was amazing but he wasn't bums off seats amazing.
There are some players (persistent dribblers, skilled pace merchants) who give you the electric as soon as they touch the ball.

Please remember Cliff Jones, the best Welsh left winger ever to play for the club

Kane just didn't really get that emotional connection going for me.
Yes, he was great and I thoroughly enjoyed him being here, watching him grow and progress but I just didn't get the feels with him.

Hard to explain why but then, emotions are always hard to understand.

There are some players that you just instantly connect with, even if they're not at the club for a long time, like VdV, Ginola, Daws and even the likes of Freund.
It's like they get the club and feel what the fans feel but I've never really got that with Kane.

"To suit both teams"

Sure. Because Leipzig definitely want to ensure their opponents are able to register one of the world's best players in time to face them.
