Ah, good point. Let me rephrase it.

Kane played 435 times for Spurs and won nothing at club level.

Tomorrow, he could be an official Bayern Munich player and win his first major trophy without kicking a ball. :)
What is tomorrow, German charity shield?

I didn't like that either, but Sheringham had been with us for a while and Klinsmann was only with us for a season before leaving for....Bayern fucking Munich.

Klinsmann has been in Dublin this week oddly enough, seen various pics of him

I did think that immediately after posting. I really do hope in 3/4 years time we'll have found a good permanent striking option than an ageing Kane. Will be interesting to see how it all pans out.
Nailed on to come back as aging back up for one of the oil clubs forward lines imo. They’ll be able to afford his wages to stick him on the bench as a home grown squad option. No way we will shell out what he’ll want for a 35 year old.

Every time he posts the fee is getting less...
................and we should thank him for that. We really don't need everyone knowing we got X amount for him as we still need to get a replacement another striker. Like most have already mentioned, we will be paying over the odds already as it stands.

Was it last season that I saw him miss two penalties? Clear signs of decline. Bullet dodged.

If I’m honest, I never got over seeing him in a scum shirt with his face painted as a kid. I also stopped chanting ‘one of our own’ after the Neville interview.

I think it's why I'm more bitter/scornful/snide toward him about this than most. He was adored, celebrated individually more than any Spurs player I've seen - and he went on strike, trying to force a move away. And people welcomed him back, and the song continued, and there's been nothing but adoration, even up to last weekend. And then he leaves two days before the season starts, having clearly not had any intention of staying, sort of forcing us to sell him or lose him for nothing.

It's just pretty clear he doesn't care about us. And given that we've had more loyal players - Son, for one - not get nearly the same regard because they weren't seen as one of us like he was, that sucks. People can argue it's just a job or to take the emotion out, but sport is emotion, and people felt a connection, and that connection quite clearly was just convenient for Kane rather than anything he shared.

Could've been a club legend. Won't be at Bayern. Totti only won three cups with Roma, but he's more fondly remembered than many who won more. It could've meant more. It just obviously didn't.

I still think goals won't be the issue, it will be conceding them.
I do agree, I think we will see a lot of games where we just need to outscore the opposition, due to how open we are at the back. That west ham game being a great example, concede 3 sloppy goals and fail to score enough from 6+ clear chances. As it stands we need a big step up from the rest of the team to compensate for the loss of Kane's goals and the state of our defence.

Most important thing is using money from this sale to get key first team players and CB is still the big one to fill.
