My grandad gave me a pair of really old fashioned black boots that I wore for a few games in school. They'd be worth of few quid nowThe good old days
Not sure if you watched the game against Shakhtar, was at work so only managed to watch parts of it, but Kane was pressing his ass off when we were out of possession. No he's not the best at it, neither is Son either, but he can do it.I think the system thing probably has some truth but it's more out of possession than in possession. The forward players closing down as a team to cut off passing lanes.
One of the reasons Kane wants his future sorted out now is for personal reasons. His wife is due to give birth in a couple of weeks and can no longer travel.
A sentimental point myself, but the ovation he got when being subbed off will no doubt play a small part in any decision made.Call me sentimental but walking along high street seeing the parents with their kids decked out in their Spurs gear was fantastic to see. No points for guessing the name on the backs of most of the shirts.

Glad to see you’re beginning to see the light .This is my thinking - and it really hasn't changed:
1. If Kane will not commit to a new deal - and has told Levy he is leaving next summer - then yes, you must sell. He is worth more to club in guaranteed transfer fees than he is in potential revenue in the future. (This is where I was at the end of last season - convinced he was done with Spurs)
2. But, if Kane is open to a new deal, even if he won't commit right now - then that changes the calculations, and Levy will have to decide how much risk is he willing to take.
3. Right now - all indications are that Kane is simply keeping his options open, and not committing to stay or leave next summer.
4. So, what are the chances Kane would want to stay?
On this, I think there are several factors. First, is Kane enjoying himself at Spurs? I think that has been a key question for the last couple of seasons. Yes, he wants to win, but everyone wants to like where they work. If I had a a guess, I would say at the end of last season, Kane really did not like it here, and was ready to go just about anywhere. The lengthy manager search probably did not help. But, with Ange, you can see the entire squad have a bit more pep in their step. Players are enjoying the football, and also the approach by Ange to treat everyone equally, and like adults. And, you can see that Ange isn't coming here to check off a bucket list item - he expects to win here.
Second - are Spurs going to be competitive? Nobody knows yet. Signs point to a turnaround, but until we start playing real matches, we won't know how this new project will take shape. That will weight heavily on Kane's mind - winning is still his priority, imo. So, there is no reason for him to commit until he sees a bit more on how this is going to play out.
Third - and everyone laughs - but the market for Kane next summer is very unclear. Yes, he could have his pick of clubs - but in reality most clubs don't offer long-term deals to 31-yo players. And, he has to find a club that would be closer to winning, and need a striker, and be willing to pay his wages/sign-on fee. In Europe (i.e. excluding Saudi) it's going to be a smaller market of teams that meet all of those requirements than most expect. And Spurs could very well be his best option considering all of those factors - so that gives Levy hope that even as late as next summer, Kane could sign an extension.
And finally, if he stays and has a big season, and is that much closer to the PL record - that limits the field even more, because he will stay in England - and probably would get Spurs to at least 50-50, if not better.
So - longwinded way of saying, I think Levy is making the right call here - either Bayern step up with a massive bid, or Spurs gamble on being able to convince Kane to stay between now and next summer.
Burt is, or was, linked in with the Kane camp so there may be some truth to his statement. That ticks every box in the what could possibly happen bingo.

Ignore the press it’s still ongoing levy is squeezing everything out of this lemon still no full agreement. Spurs are actively lining up replacements as I said the other day.
Don’t get sucked into that yet it’s at a critical stage atmNoooooo. I'm all in on wanting him to stay now!
Not the update I wanted to see tbh.Ignore the press it’s still ongoing levy is squeezing everything out of this lemon still no full agreement. Spurs are actively lining up replacements as I said the other day.
