He will not sign a new contract.

He would be mad to when he can go on a free next season and sign for say 30-40 million, plus a huge salary that may take a three year deal to 52 million for a three year contact on top of that signing on fee.

A move to BM may well be worth close to 100 million to him over a three year contract, with add on's, sponsorships and endorsements.

He could be minted at just thirty five years of age.
I never said he would. I said its not certain but clearly you know the future enough to say for sure. The point is there's more chance of it happening than if we sell him now obviously. That's part of the chance we could take by keeping him that there's just a small percent we convince him to stay longer. It's just something to consider in the pros and cons of keeping him.

Call me crazy but I reckon Ange will be absolutely fine with Kane leaving.

His whole schtick is arriving at clubs, shaking things up and having high turnover until the squad suits his style of play.

In his last presser he was waxing lyrical how much Richarlison specifically suits his style of play in a way he hasn't about Kane, despite being asked 1000 questions about him.

I reckon he just wants to get the money, stop the endless speculation and then have the capacity to mould the team in his image.
Ange is not my worry at all.

We can all see what SHOULD happen if a player of Kane's stature goes.

And if it did, I believe we would be totally fine.

BUT

This club (ENIC and Levy) have a history of not doing what 'makes sense' or trying to replace for the coach as best as they can.

Bale money = a bunch of Baldini punts and against AVB's wishes
Berbatov money = An unproven Russian striker and Frazier Campbell.

I trust Ange but I have ZERO trust in them.

Let's be real. He's not going to just take 90m, do an evil Blofeld laugh and give the fans the middle finger.

We'll spend a ton of money if we sell Kane. The question is how much and on what positions/players.

We need 2 good CBs (at least one top level like Tapsoba) and a quality forward. That's what he needs to get. Anything less and he's being a bellend. Anything more and he gets Tellytubby points.
We'll need to spend a further £160m ish to get what we need. I really can't see it.

This is going to hurt like fuck, isn’t it?
It will hurt less if we get a couple of key signings first. The window we've had so far is decent, losing Kane makes it bad so need to turn it into a great window before we sell him. I want at least one top CB and striker signed before Kane leaves if he goes.

I'd love that to be the case.

But if we're languishing in 11th place in November then I can see Levy pulling the trigger.
If he's got Dier, Davies, Sanchez et al at the back I actually think the fans will direct their anger at Levy rather than Ange. Would be a difficult sacking I think.

Think it would depend on the context. If we're getting our pants pulled down every weeks and Ange looks genuinely out of his depth then I can see Levy panicking and pulling the trigger.

If we're playing good stuff, there are positive signs and we're losing games due to individual errors and teething problems with the system then I think Ange will get the benefit of a doubt for a while.

I think we really need to just trust in Ange as who the fuck else are we going to bring in. There's absolutely zero appetite in the fan base for another mid-season managerial change after the past few years.

You have the think the club has made been aware a week or two ago (when Kane returned for preseason) that he will not be signing a new contract. We had VDV lined up ready to pull the trigger, then we delayed. My thinking is we have held off as we may look at better CB options if we receive close to £100m for Kane. Going from VDV&Tosin to Laporte &Tapsoda as example.

Unless we can get someone top level like Vlahovic, I think it's in the clubs interest to use Richarlison in the 9 role (like he plays for Brazil) given the limited top class striker options out there. Muani is seriously overpriced, you could get Osimhen for similar fee to that quoted for Muani.

Although I expect fans will demand a big money replacement. I hope we back Ange completely and bring in exactly who he wants

I wouldn’t trust levy with dinner money let alone Kane money. We’ll be left short as usual as unless it’s a good deal, Willow won’t commit. Tapsoba, vdv and Muani would be the bare minimum to give us a chance. Odds of us getting even 1 of the 3 if Kane goes? Probably 10%. Chance of all 3? Same as finding elvis knobbing lord lucan under your bed. Fuck off levy.

Say...50-70m on a forward, 50m on Tapsoba and 15m on Tosin. I could see something along those lines.

I agree that we won't spend 160m though.

You'll always get a few clowns blaming Ange for not being able to coach uncoachable defenders.

Yeah but to be fair that's with the benefit of hindsight.

We were all excited as fuck the Bale summer and everyone was pissing themselves with excitement that we got Soldado, Eriksen, Lamela AND Paulinho (the other 3 less so). Every pundit under the sun was saying how great our investment was and that we'd "won the transfer window".

The Frazier Campbell thing was a total joke, but the Berbatov/Keane summer on top of Pav we also brought in Bentley, Modric, Corluka, Gomes and Dos Santos. We had an incredible pre-season and everyone was extremely hyped.

We DID reinvest a lot of money those years with the intention of building a good team. We just did shit scouting and/or the players didn't fit or took a while to adapt.

I don’t believe the links to Muani in the media and I don’t think he’s the right signing anyway.

Just in my lifetime:

Klinsmann
Sheringham
Keane
Defoe
Berbatov
Kane

We’ll be alright.
Your final sentence may be correct, but none of those hold a fucking candle to Kane, not even Klinsmann. To put it into context, if Harry Kane played every game for 8 and a half more seasons without scoring a single goal…. He’d still have a better goals per game record than Defoe. People need to stop thinking it’s just replacing one good player

There’s no expectations this year from the club on ange . But when Harry departs I’m just worried about the plan they’re going to with . We still haven’t gotten the defenders we require all because we are wasting are time on a player his club won’t sell unless it’s for money we won’t pay. Bartering constantly on targets need to act like a big club and untill we do expect mediocre
This is what pisses me off the most. It's like Levy's determined to cosplay being a big club but when it comes down to it he reverts to type, as if it's all just an act. A "big club" would've brought Tapsoba and VdV in (or at least 1 of those 2 and someone else) before the tour, whatever it took, and dealt with the fallout afterwards. It seems like we're obsessed with being safe all the time and "winning" every single transfer. I don't know what the point of Munn is (do we even know if he's officially started yet?), this whole saga reeks of Levy still pulling the strings.

I know the club has made some expensive mistakes in the transfer market over the last 3 or 4 seasons but them's the breaks - we're about to sell a player who cost us nothing for £100+m and Dele, who cost £5m, had a similarly high valuation in his pomp. We got Deki and Bentancur cheap, Udogie looks like good value, as do Bissouma and Sarr. We've got a gaping hole in our squad at centre back and need at least 2 quality defenders in or we might as well not bother. It's already feeling like we'll be going into this season unprepared from a fitness pov, let's not go in understaffed (in quality and quantity) as well. Give Ange a chance ffs.
