So if Kane leaves, big if I know, do we stick with Richy or do we go out and buy another striker. There aren’t that many in world football who would be available.
No way would we not sign another striker.

I would imagine we would probably go for Vlahovic, Ferguson or someone along those lines.

It’s July 4th and we have spent 50 million on new players and 45 on porro, 25 on kulu.

potentially 2 more new signing bring it up to 50 mil

mom not saying it’s gonna happen but I’m suspicious.
And after Van de Ven/Tapsoba they will be much more focus on outgoings. And more importantly, ENIC still have to inject 50m into the club this year

I know this is just Bayern turning their media machine into overdrive. But there is a part of me that is getting a feeling that perhaps the moves we’re making right now and apparently that it could be VDV and Tapsoba is spending Kane sale money ahead of time, like we did with Bale.

Hopefully we’re just showing ambition having realised a rebuild was needed. But feel like we’ve seen this film before….
it's hard not to have that feeling when the only other time we have made this many signings this early was to spend the Bale money. I have gone to the place now where he is gone and if it then turns out he isn't I will be buzzing rather than gutted if he does leave.

- We get him for one more year if he stays, in a rebuild year - and by the very fact we're keeping him that extra year we are not fully committing to the rebuild. However we reshape the team once he's gone, lets start that now, we have to think forwards a bit.
Anyway I fully understand why some fans want to keep him one more year it but for me just doesnt make that much sense for any other reason than seeing harry score 25+ goals in our colours one more time.
Lotta sense here imo. With my fan hat on of course I want another year with him. But looking ahead a bit and thinking about the club's progression into a high energy pressing team...and the 90+ mill...I wonder.

In hard cash terms H staying is the equivalent of loaning a brilliant striker for one season for 90+mill plus 350k/week and zero chance of him staying on. A tricky deal to justify financially.

It's all predicated on him having one year left. If he had two, a lot less fans would be entertaining this prospect, me included.

Just seen the Athletic report VDV close for £30m now....as others have said it does have the feel of spending the kane money....

Depending on where you get your figures, we’ve spent 400-500mil net in 5 seasons. We’re in the premier league. If we can’t make a couple of 30mil signings without our best player leaving, we’re in deeper shit than it looks. (We aren’t)

what I’m hopeful for is that we sell a lot of players and keep Kane

The part that’s hard to get my head round is whether levy has changed his ways. I have to be honest I won’t trust him until the window is shut

I dont get you, what ways? Not spending money without sales…we do that, selling major players…we haven’t done that for years. Levy has a lot of bad ways but not sure how they apply here. Keep seeing the Bale situation quoted like it wasn’t 10 years ago!

We have about the same number of signings as we did this early last summer didn't we? It just seems we're a lot better at getting signings now than we were a few years ago. We're just being more decisive now so getting them done sooner. It certainly doesn't feel like we're spending that big. Vicario a lot cheaper than Raya, VdV cheaper than Tapsoba, Soloman on a free, even Maddison was done pretty low and a lot less than Richarlison. It certainly doesn't seem we have this big injection of money coming in.

When you take the emotion out - it makes sense. Life is full of compromise.
It's still going to be very expensive for Bayern... Levy is not going to budge on the fee IMO... don't think there will be any negotiating. It's take or leave it... probably +100 mil.
