If he goes on strike then he's not half the man I thought he was. He signed a contract. We'll hold him to that contract. Them's the breaks.
He won’t go on strike, he 100% wants to break Shearers record, zero chance he strikes and misses games that’s not happening.

Not if he fucks off to City he’s not. He’s dead to me if he goes to another premier league club.

Again, more extreme opinions on this site. Not sure why I'm surprised, tbh. Where else is he going to go if he doesn't want to play in Europe, or if he wants to continue adding to his tally in this country?

For decades big players have moved between clubs in their domestic leagues. It's totally normal. I'd understand if it was Chelsea or Arsenal, but we're not a rival to City. Nowhere near their level and no history with them.

lol I would not go that far.

He has given us far more than Bale or Modric did, and both players are still viewed as incredibly great players and not disliked by the fanbase.

I think it helps that they went abroad though - bit different with them largely being out of sight and out of mind to watching your player at another PL club every week.

By all accounts, Kane’s team leaked the story before two big games. I have no sympathy for him.

I don’t care how much he wants to win trophies somewhere else - you don’t throw your team under the bus like that. I know he is frustrated. We all are.

Not on strike exactly, but definitely playing in the "trying to not get injured" Eriksen mode.

Never turns up in the really big games.

I can literally give 10+ examples of where he's turned up in big games. If you're referring to finals where he's been pretty much crocked in 2 of them, I don't think that's fair.

Even if he can keep Kane, Son and Lloris, Baldy must be ready to spend something like 200 million pounds over the next 2 years to make us competitive again.
I've no doubt he'll spend 200 million. The issue is he'll buy us 15 Matt Dohertys with it

An elite player like Kane deserves to win trophies and even if he stayed with us, and whoever the new manager might be, it's going to take a couple of seasons to rebuild the utter shite that we are right now. It's a risk for Kane to stay because if it does not work out again then he will be near 30 and may lose his chance. He has given us his best but we didn't match it.

The time for him to leave is now!

I don't blame Kane, I blame Levy for doing nothing when we were so very, very close to success. Poch bleated that we needed a rebuild and was sacked. Mourinho highlighted how shit some of our players are and got sacked.

I think it is telling how Kane seemed disappointed after Mourinho was sacked and this is probably what helped him decide no point staying as we are never going to win anything.

That’s hilarious when you consider that includes a CL final and he thinks he’s in Ronaldo/Lewandowski levels

Messi has done fuck all in the big games for Argentina, and he's not the only world class player they've had. Even Ronaldo has fucked up in the odd final or key game. It happens to all players.

The difference is that Lewandowski, Ronaldo and Messi are surrounded by the best at their clubs. Kane is not. I'm not saying he is as good as those 3 but he has been one of the best strikers in the world these last few years, probably only surpassed by Lewandowski, and he's had to do that playing week in/week out with the likes of Winks, Dier and Sissoko.

I'm sorry mate but I can't get behind that. He's put in a shift throughout his time. Sure, he's gone missing for the odd key game but there are plenty of other world class players who have done that. His stats speak for him. He's easily been the best striker, and perhaps the best player, at this club for the last 30 years. I just don't agree that he's failed us.

I applaud you for responding to that post in such a reasonable and non sarcastic way.

Some absolute nonsense being posted in this thread.

He wasn't alone in the lap of honour, the camera just made it look like he was.

Bale, son and a select few also clapped the fans.
