Still find it quite funny how United fans were adament he was theres if they could have got him.

1. Levy would have insisted over 150m from a PL rival. So when their fans were saying "Just go and get Kane" or "I don't know why we dont just get Kane" it doesnt take much to know way they couldnt.

2. Kane wanted a sure thing. He tried to force the City move cause he knew they were nailed on for titles. He moved to Bayern for the same reason. He would have moved to Madrid if they were serious about him.

Whilst I expected United to do better this season (and was wrong), they are most certainly not going to win PL titles any time soon or a CL.

The pure arrogance from some of their fans explains why they are struggling with an identity. Still think they can sign anyone, although when they do do that it seems to put them back

Well yea but we can all agree he wanted to stay for atleast this season

nope. I don’t agree with that whatever the spin from either party.

I think he wanted to leave knowing that we’d get a decent fee and assuming the right club made the offer but was also relaxed about staying knowing that he’d have an excellent opportunity to increase his earnings significantly and a choice of clubs that would be interested. For him it was either or.

Ange has said that it was his (Ange's) impression from day 1 that Kane wanted to leave. That Kane was upfront about his desires, but was professional about it.

My guess - Kane has wanted out since the Man City fiasco, and his head was completely turned by Tuchel and Bayern.

I've noticed on Instagram that sonny, dele, and a whole host of spurs players like kanes posts.

Kane has liked nothing posted by his ex team mates.

I did get the feeling that he felt above the club and players. Almost like we have pondered to him too much.

Perhaps I'm being harsh, but you'd think he would reciprocate to sonny at least.
Maybe he just isn’t into Social Media and doesn’t run his own account.

Levy said Kane didn’t want to leave but wouldn’t sign a new contract. He was willing to go to Bayern. Not sure that counts as having his head turned.

Maybe its just me but ive not for a moment thought for a second this season "i wish kane was here".

Our team has so much personality now, Son stepping up, maddison taking the 10 and florishing, and its not necessarily the same + kane if he were still here, it all changes.

Good luck to him but i love the team we have right now and i dont particularly think the whole package would be better with kane in the picture.

And no i dont agree he wanted to stay for a season. He could literally have done that and chose not to. For himself not for us.

Kane would have finished the Johnson chance. I just miss his killer instinct’s infront of goal, but don’t get me wrong I’m loving how this team are coming together.

In a hypothetical world where he was two years younger I think he would have stayed because Ange's style of football really suits him to the ground. It unlocks the creativity and confidence in every other position which only would have elevated Kane even higher.

But at his age he probably felt he couldn't afford to wait. The irony is it sounds like he was the one really pushing for the "trophy managers". He probably believed Mourinho and then Conte would put in place a system that gave him the medals. But in the end he wasted some of his prime years playing under those two men because the success they had at other clubs was helped by financial backing they could never get here.
