Simon Jordan is always worth a listen particularly when talking about spurs as he speaks to our Daniel

He then said it was great money that spurs got 86 to 90m pounds for him
It is when you consider that's more than Man City offered 2 years ago with 3 years left on his deal.

That’s because Man City were taking the piss. £90m for the worlds best striker is not a good deal regardless of how long he had left on his contract.

Wonder if any SC contributors wear skechers
I bought a pair for work because I'm on my feet all day and they're supposed to be very comfortable, which they are to be fair.
That being said, I've probably got more shoes than Imelda Marcos!

A. You’re old to remember that.

B. I would have sworn Imelda Marcos was dead.

Remember what?

I mean, I'm too old too consider things like style and fashion over comfort but seriously, when on my feet all day, they've been more comfortable than my Nikes or Vans.

Sketchers shoes are indeed comfortable.

But as a newcomer into the sports (I think?), for Kane to be convinced and signed a deal (lifetime?), Charlie and him surely are kind and easily bought over.

Not sure if posted but found this interesting. His very pregnant wife, children and extended family all travelled with him:

My feelings towards Skechers is two-fold:

1) I think the boots look pretty good (save for the ugly 'S' logo) and, from some videos I've seen, very soft/comfortable.
I feel that Kane being the first - and, currently, only - player to be sponsored by them may have contributed to his decision to leave the biggest sportswear company on the planet.

2) On a personal level, no matter how comfortable, I wouldn't buy a pair of the trainers for myself. Purely on aesthetics, I don't like them, but a couple of people I know in the healthcare industry swear by them for work (and work only).

I think Skechers' first ever boots seem like a perfectly acceptable foray into football. A bit like how Skoda was once the butt of the joke in the car community, I wouldn't be surprised if, in a few years, Skechers boots are widely accepted.

Charlie Kane would have signed him up to a deal to play in Hunter Welly boots.

All Skechers I've worn have been nicely wide fitting so still have one.
Never heard of a "lifetime" deal for boots.
Can't imagine an 80+ yr old Kane in boots at home with the grandkids or turning up to weddings in them.
Perhaps they were thinking about post playing career out coaching on the training pitch or NFL career as well?
