I think you will ultimately be right. As much as we have not wanted to face this reality.

Sonny, Lloris and Kane are not problems per se but when you are bringing in coaches like Jose and Conte because you want them to get the best out of your best players and win trophies you are probably sacrificing many other aspects like team chemistry, a system that works for the club/other players, space for young players to grow.

For example, Kane and Son will not be left out of the team, so they kind of dictate the system and vice versa. You can't leave Kane out, he's too important.

Whereas if a coach like Ten Hag comes in, he doesn't place too much importance on one player, it's the system.

We are not Real Madrid. We can't hire a coach like Ancelotti and let the big players just get on with it and silently manage the rest. We need a coach who controls every decision on the field/footballing side.

I am not for one second saying Kane is an issue for Conte, he clearly isn't, but if you bring in someone like De Zerbi I think it's better in everyone's interests to start afresh.

But then there is one major issue....

I agree that if Kane is leaving this summer, then I would sell Son too in this summer....along with Dier Davies and Sanchez. All the people mentioned here has 12mths to 18mths left on contract (except Son). No mercy, the entire lot goes, if Kane decides to go

If Kane leaves, core that remains should remain & carry forward is Romero, Bentancur, Kulusevski , Richarlison.

People are ignoring City just because they have Haaland. Who says they won't be back in for him?

Reasons why they would:

-They went for Kane originally so they were probably open to the possibility of having both

-It stops any of their rivals strengthening

-They can easily afford him

-It gives them a rotation option + more creativity

-Kane would almost certainly win trophies there (United has no guarantee). They would also be more likely to win the CL which Kane must fancy

Utd would be a risky move for him as it's not inconceivable that they don't kick on next season and he finds himself in a similar position to where he is here.

Yet again so so spot on!

Can you just e-mail Levy and tell him to hire you or tell him what to do because you're bang on every time mate.

No chance City goes for Kane

Their major summer targets are Gvardiol, a RB and midfielder to replace Gundogan.

They also have Alvarez. I’d be very very surprised if City came for him and I’d be surprised if Kane went as his chances of braking the record will be significantly diminished because he won’t be a guaranteed starter.

Why would they want a RB when they already have Walker and Cancelo? Unless one is leaving...

Ha! I've got plenty wrong, mate to be honest and I have certainly ben behind it being "time to win" and get the likes of Conte.

I just naively thought Levy may go all in with him.

But yeah, if we keep ending up here, it's simply time to just go through the next process.

I may not be following it so avidly though, especially if a certain someone is still directing it.

Exactly. I actually think Kane was a bit of a short-term choice for them cause Pep was desperate for CL success. That's why they tried to get Kane on the cheap and why they waited for Haaland and got in Alvarez in January, they focused on younger talents that could be as big as Kane.

He only needs 60-ish more goals. Even as a non-regular starter you would back him to get that in 4-5 years at a club that scores as many goals as City does.

If Kane was asked what he would prefer out of guaranteed trophies Vs guaranteed top scorer, I'm confident in knowing what he'd pick

He will go to either utd or Chelsea with Chelsea paying over the top for a marquee signing.
No way he signs for Chelsea.

It'll be Utd most likely, Liverpool a small chance, City only if Haaland leaves, otherwise someone like Bayern. If Ten Haag wants him then Utd seems the obvious choice, add Kane and a few more players to that team and system and they could challenge for everything.

I wouldn’t rule out Liverpool either. Darwin Nunez hardly looks like the chosen one

Not really the FSG model to pay big fee's/wages for players in and around 30 years of age (obviously if they are taken over, situation could change). Plus looks like they will be keeping their powder try for a big move for Bellingham as well as another midfielder.

Here’s a thought to give us all nightmares - what if he runs down his contract and goes on a free to his boyhood club?

I'd sell, only if the cash was reinvested into Vlahovic or Osimhen. Otherwise, I'd be looking to get Son out the door first and replacing him. At least Richarlison can play CF.

Coupled with the fact that Kane won’t go there as a back up to Haaland.
However from a club perspective if they were to offer us Alvarez and £80m….

He's going to move to ManU . He is the missing link for them. I won't blame him either, Levy has failed him like he's failed all of us. I hope he wins something before his career is over.
