Depends really. £160m this summer is £300m+ in other windows. If you wanted to maximise the cash price vs replacement cost, this is the time to do it really.

This is where Paratici's strategy pays off - and why he has multiple irons in the fire. It reduces the chances of teams trying to hold out for more money - particularly those teams that actually need the money via transfers.

And, until a deal is public from the teams, there is still plausible deniability from Paratici.

I doubt the club would want that to be public knowledge until (if) they sell him as it’ll reduce the price and create even more of a media frenzy. Then they’ll use it to push the blame on him once he’s sold.
