... and pick himself up for the next match. He is a class act and mustn't let this night get him down and affect his confidence. He will be crucial and he needs to be on form for our run in.

I have faith in you Gomes!!

im sure he will, he just blatantly lost his concentration, casual attempt to catch the ball it seemed, didnt get his body behind it like usual. being 4-0 down with 40 mins to go as well as lack of threat from madrid probably made him a bit too relaxed

hopefully he repeats his performance of last years up coming fixture

Gazza's turned up at White Hart Lane and asked Gomes if he fancies going fishing after the match. Gomes has said 'No point, I won't catch anything'.

Great on his day but makes more major mistakes then is acceptable for a top class keeper!

Completely agree! I still have faith in the big man. Although he makes those odds errors, he is one of a very few keepers that is capable of pulling off the most incredible saves, which has saved us on several ocassions.

We love you Gomes!

sorry but gomes has to leave tottenham. not good enough that is absolute truth. Now two cheap goals over the two legs and many already this season in the league. Stop defending the guy - he's a bit shit

And yet he still has one of the highest shot-to-save ratios in the EPL!

True, when he gets it wrong he really gets it wrong, no half-measures, but he was like that at PSV.

Should we get Robbo back?

I haven't seen tonight but he can't be faulted for any of the other goals. I assume you're referring to the 3rd or 4th goal in Madrid? Instead of knocking him, you should be praising his attempt to stop the goal, he did well to get a hand on in considering how late he probably saw it (came through BAE's legs IIRC)
