FFP is such a mess. Basically incentivises clubs to sell their own academy products because that's what looks good on the books.

I think he's quite good, especially from what.o saw in u21 euros and man city subs, can score and is tricky. No idea why he is going to Chelsea though if he wants game time ??
I wonder how many of these signings are being sucked in by the idea that Poch is great with youngsters. Oh boy are they in for a surprise.

"So we'll pay a million now, and a million in January if we decide he's worth keeping".

It just seems like a really strange move all around. We need a right winger, if anyone - how many do Chelsea have in their squad? But of course we don't have Chelsea's ability to pay wages. It's a move that seems to have come from nowhere, though, unless there's been chatter about it that hasn't made the papers.

I would have thought with De Bruyne's injury and Foden likely playing more centrally that Palmer would get more time for City than he's likely to at Chelsea.

Just makes the decision to sign Mount more and more odd by the day.

They have Eriksen and Bruno as that attacking midfielder point.

They needed a CM/box-to-box/pivot

City fans are over the moon at that price. Although Chelsea will pay anything to be fair. Just think if he was that good city wouldn't sell him.

From Palmer's point of view it's very strange.

Gone from starting to break into a city side likely to win a lot of trophies over to a bloated Chelsea squad with imbalances everywhere.

Liverpool are making really big strides to improving their weaknesses though.

They are not trying short cuts.
