You honestly think Levy is going to pay £300k a week with a £10m loan fee for a very injury prone 29 year old?

Never gonna happen...

Hes played 42 games this season and Kane has played 43 hes not a good now as Kane but even now far better then any other player we have in the squad. Hes not that injury prone if you look back in this thread you will see his appearance record and £10m plus 300k per week is a snip, hope Levy has the bollocks to do it

I'd be all over it. We have moaned about lack of options without Kane and Son at times. Having a match winner with the winning mentality he has gained at Madrid. £10million loan? I'd do it in a heartbeat.

the problem is not the loan fee but his wages

Player has a say too. Can't rub Zidane's nose in it by playing in the Europa. Would he want to join a rebuilding Utd playing under OGS? If our interest is real I think he'd choose us over Utd. Utd could offer more money but what if he refuses. Depends how badly Real are willing to get him out, and it seems they are desperate.
Given the quotes from his agent it appears money is a very big factor and United will definitely have us beat there.

Toby goes, Eriksen goes, Janssen goes among others. That could be used, no?

Doesn't work like that. If we suddenly get in a £300k a week player, all our top names will want a similar wage rise. Before long, our wage bill has doubled and we'd probably lose a few players into the bargain.

If he's on loan he won't be getting more money though, unless we are talking signing bonuses or agents fees. No way I could see us touching him on a permanent, or anyone in Europe for that matter.

I would like Bale but people do realize he’s lost most of his pace though right? Which was a huge aspect of his game.

Still has a howitzer of a left foot so personally I see him slotting into the Backup Son/backup Kane role.

Plus people talking about getting the Bale from the final...you may as well talk about getting the Lucas Moura from the semi final. You’re simply not going to get that performance from him with any sort of consistency.

I’m not sure we can legitimize paying him 600k a week without our entire playing staff smashing down the door for massive pay rises.

It's funny that people don't want Bale as we may sign someone else - we haven't signed fuck all for ages so best to look at each transfer independently and we usually are much more reactive to the market.

Would still be faster then Eriken and Dele and would score more goals then them too.

Yeah maybe more goals, but Eriksen and Dele are trying to be more playmakers for the team. Even if that’s somewhat hurting Dele’s game right now.

We’ve already seen the side struggle a bit when Kane, Son, and Lucas are all playing together trying to score and we lose a lot of the team fluidity.

Don’t get me wrong I’d like Bale here I just don’t think people realize the player they are getting.

If he's on loan then we're technically paying his RM wages for a year.. I doubt that would set a precedent that would move Levy too much as it's somewhat different to signing on for 5/6 years like our contracts tend to be now. Not that it would happen, and definitely not on a permanent for reasons above.

I think we got other areas that need addressing, but it wouldn't stop me running around screaming like a little kid if we did sign him. If the deal is right for us, i would love to see him back.
