Real Madrid are a fucking shit house, you want to see all that is wrong with football look at them there are an absolute toilet of a club.

They were a one man team, take Ronaldo out of the equation and you’re left with an ageing bunch of mercenaries. They’re the Spanish version of Man U.

It'll be very interesting to see how this works out for a few players now - did Real honestly intend for him to stay the full term of that contract? No, not at all, contracts in football aren't what I know a contract as and 9/10 they appear to be bought out by other clubs as the player nears the end of the deal and whatever contract they have is "security" on that transfer to ensure the selling club get something back.

Real offering him, or anyone, this sort of contract leaves them in this sort of hole - they have perhaps only six clubs in the entire world that could meet the wages, but only maybe two of them are even vaguely likely to even consider it. I can't believe that Bale will be the only mega-bucks earning player to find themselves in this position and i'm behind any player who demands a club honour a contract, especially when it was one as ridiculous as this.

Real should learn but they won't - the only reason they haven't done a Leeds with these wage offerings is because of a combination of both being lucky palming off their high earners to other clubs with ready money, and because they are propped up by the Spanish government.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out, it could set precedent for future transfers and contracts, but these un-honourable contracts need to be addressed as at some point it's going to ruin a very big club and likely players' careers, and you can't blame the players one bit.

Thinking about it, he might go to China. Would be a lot more useful than Tevez was.

If your employer promised you a large contract and then treated you like utter shit, you'd likely want what you were owed also. It's not utter greed to want them to honour their part of the deal, it's how all of business works. Yeah he has enough money to live on but he didn't offer himself the contract, they will have to pay up.
There comes a point in life you have to make important decisions, depending on your moral principles code of conduct state of mind you do want is best for you. If Bale having made a ton of money already, is hell bent on being honoured the money on the contract due to him...so be it, he will sit on the bench and wait it out.

IMO he should focus on playing football hand in a transfer request leave and play ball. Not like he'll be struggling for money any time soon

China is just about the only place that might tempt Real to pony up most of his wages - he won't be competing against them in any way and none of their competitors will benefit financially from the arrangement, so I imagine they'll be half eyeing one of the up and coming teams in the East, but technically, doesn't Gareth hold all the cards here?

If he doesn't want to go to China, he can refuse the contract and Real have to start over, right?

They may find themselves in an impossibru situation

Don’t china have to pay 100% tax now or something, which is why there’s not been as many transfers recently, also really can’t see him going China

Sorry but that is a bit unfair They had a very, very decent team ... Marcelo probably the best LB in the world over the last 4 or 5 years. Ramos and Varane are two of the best CBs anywhere. Kroos and Modric in CM ... awesome. Certainly not a one man team.

Yeah people always suggest that whole rotting in reserves angle but it never comes to that, I think bales agent will tell him to sit tight and Madrid will cave and will have to pay up whilst he moves on and enjoys his football.

I'm rather enjoying watching all these mega rich clubs shooting themselves in the foot with their ridiculous profligate spending. Will be even better if some of them get their due punishments on FFP.

If Bale goes to China at this stage of his career ...says it all about footballers and the state of the game

No way is bale going to china. His only option is uk. City, united, chelsea and spurs.
Id discount city as pep wont want him so its doen to 3. Can chelsea get him? Will united get sanchez off quick enough to act?
Were in with a good shout with levy being creative with deals.

Well considering Chelsea can’t sign anyone they’re out the question and united wanting to sign young talent. If we can come to an agreement with RM then I’d be very confident, however wouldn’t surprise me if Bayern got involved

But, and this is just my opinion, I don't think he fits into City, at all, and I don't think he'd go to Chelsea even if they could sign someone, which leaves just us and United from your list. We most definitely can't afford to even subsidize half of his wages, so that leaves United and that is the only one that makes any sense.

They might be in for a deal to cover half of his wages, it's a position that they need a player in and, I suspect, Ole might want to make a statement this closed season to shut up the doubters. There's been talk of Pogba or De Gea wanting out for a while now, why not come to an arrangement for one of them? They have options, money and a space in the team.

If he comes back to the UK and Levy hasn't somehow spiked the Real rep's drinks and managed to magic a filthy sex-tape out of thin air, Bale will be going to United, imo.
