Love Bale but I believe his best days are behind him. Could quite possibly come back in his early thirties though a la Klinsmann and Sheringham. A 32 year old Bale would be very affordable.

Wonder if levy put a 10% sell on fee like siggy. :) Can't see bale leaving RM this year, if he does please not to another English club, would hate to see him at say the 2 mancs or Chelscum.

I'm sure i remember something about £10M fee payable to spurs if they sell within first five years along with the price match clause. So if rumours are correct and they still owe us 18M. We already have 28M towards fee lol

He's joining United at some point. That's the only ITK I'll ever have.

Fuck protecting the source. That came from a family friend of Ryan Giggs, and she's a horrid cow. Her name is Cath. According to Giggs himself, United are obsessed with him and Bale loves the idea of being their new Welsh No 11. United were behind the number change for exactly that reason, but weren't expecting Madrid to blow them out of the water.

This has been in the pipeline for years, and Jose's comments are just designed to make him look good when it eventually happens. All this 'fight for Bale' talk is rhetoric. If he leaves Madrid he's joining United. I'll be shocked if he joins another team.

There's more chance of Ratboy coming back than Bale...

Urgh. I hate Utd and Maureen.

And Cath sounds like a right old shit...

I put in another post in "non-Spurs transfers" that I just cannot imagine him running out against us...it just wouldn't seem right somehow. Bale in a united shirt...ugh !...I know it could be a worse scenario but he'd never agree to go 'there' I'm sure. The last thing I want to see next season is a non-celebratory goal scored against us by Bale. They reckon tomorrow's game will be the indicator for what's happening....let's hope it's just Jose trying to wind Real Madrid (and Spurs fans) up.

He doesn't care about us like that, he's not a Spurs fan or academy player. We were a time in his career and helped him move to one of the biggest club in the world. I'm sure he wants us to do well like he does with Southampton too.

He probably wouldn't celebrate a goal against us but there is zero chance if Madrid or he wants to go that he's turning down Man Utd. They'll be paying him hundreds and hundreds of thousands of pounds and he'll be at a huge club.
Personally I think Spurs fans need to prepare themselves for seeing him at old Trafford this coming season.

We should push United to world record fee if they want him so much. We have first refusal after all. If he doesn't want to come to us, it's worth the bother, just keep bidding up and up.

That's the making of a new thread - Players more likely to return than Bale!

That's not how it works.

The only right we have is to choose to match whatever bid Madrid say they consider acceptable and then have the right to have it accepted by Madrid before the other bid.

I'm certain Bale isn't with Nike

I don't see much of a chance that Bale returns here, but this argument gets way too much weight than it deserves.

Dele Alli is one of the current Adadis Football poster boys, didn't stop him being front a centre of our recent Nike kit launch.

They weren't expecting Real to blow them out of the water?

Lol, good one Cath.

United were willing to pay more. Bale wanted Madrid simple as that.
