This is not surprising given everything that happened this week. They absolutely pound Man U in second half and all they have to show for it is a serious injury to their best player. Their second best goal scorer leaves for two weeks. A club icon is sold and leaves. Exactly like the summer, absolutely nothing is done to reinforce or maybe even push forward the current group. Then the replacement for your best player scores an own goal ten minutes into the game.
As much as we are frustrated as fans, how do you think the players and coaches are feeling? What the hell is Poch supposed to do? What would you do when you turn back and look at the options available on the bench today?
Bottom line - when you dont improve the group of players for almost a full year, you are asking for issues like this. If we cant beat one of the worst teams in the league, we are screwed. CL is a big deal for next year finally entering a new stadium (assuming that actually happens). Without investment, it likely slips up and a lot of other bad things could happen.
This all rests on Levy's shoulders. We hear excuse after excuse but at some point those excuses don't matter. Make something happen. Back the manager. Fix the problems everyone has seen since August (midfield anyone?) or risk it all slipping away.
