Robbo was recalled to the England squad on the 22nd-23rd. Last weekend was the 29th-30th.

So lets look at the positives from a Ramos point of view.

Berbs £25 million? There or thereabouts.
Lennon £7 -10 mill.
Daws £5 mill
Robbo £5 mill.

Forget anyone else that senor thinks is surplus for the time being. That little lot comes to almost £45 million. So far as Ramos is concerned, he could do a lot of team building with that level of cash.

whats this about an arsenal trial though?

The story goes that Robbo went for a trial with Arsenal. He didn't want to join them so just stood in the goal. As the shots whizzed into the net - with him making no effort to stop them - he just repeated "Could've saved that... could've save that...."

Thanks for sharing, DNB.

It's understandable that the players are going to be a bit shocked - going from Jol, cuddly and huggy, to a man that commands a "Mr." in front of his surname, what do they expect?

At the end of the day, they're not there to like the manager, they are there to play for him, and I expect there are enough players in this world that would. So I'm surprised at this attitude to be honest. Lennon and Ramos haven't got on, it appears. But I was always a bit worried with Lennon anyway, his drinking is out of hand for a professional athlete, he's always down at Faces as a lot of my skinny tie wearing amigos hang out there too.

Dawson I am surprised about, however.

Berbatov and Robbo have been foregone conclusions for me for a while now. And it certainly ain't gonna be pretty when DB goes.

thats the best thing you have said all year

But do we really want to have to build a completely new squad?
Its clear that Robbo is most likey to be gone, and I wouldnt be suprised to see Lennon go, but I thought Dawson was a bit more professional and ambitious to be put off by a new diet and a bit of hard work.
I fear for us without Berbs. Where are we going to get any creativity from?

All the top managers don't want to be liked, they want to be respected and possible a little feared, robbo knows he's on his way and this may be sour grapes, as for the rest of em, if they put in performances like the other day, which was unprofessional being kind, I'm happy to see them go, Berbatov obviously not included.

This wasn't at the Cock & Dragon at Cockfosters by any chance, was it?
No idea but I'll ask my friend, he's not replied to me yet from me texting earlier asking what other stuff he told me that I'd forgotten about.

Sorry for the confusion also, it was the week before last - the night we had played Portsmouth early on. Fair enough for him to go out drinking I suppose. Apparently at the start of the night he was lovely, he had his card behind the bar and was happily (and my mate specifically said it wasn't in a 'wey look at me I'm so rich' kind of way) buying drinks for everyone that was talking to him. Then he just got more arsey as the night wore on. I like the idea that he was keeping up a front but as he got more drunk he got more and more bitter about being in the cold at Spurs. A spurned ex.

Cool so he's an angry drunk rather than the "I love you" drunks. :)

I have no problem with this 'Mr' Ramos bit. Mind you I haven't been spoilt to the extent that so many footballers have. Dammit.

Alf Ramsey was the same.

England Captain Bobby Moore "See you next game, Mr Ramsey."

Alf Ramsey: "If selected, Bobby."

I spose thats a little bit better than the "night before"
I still find it strange though I'd imagine in pubs there is always a cretin supporter thug from another club looking to make a name for himself and have a pop which could escalate.

Just watching Sky Sports News, and Ramos when asked about Lennon said, that he valued him and he didnt want him to go as he, Lennon, was in his plans for next season. He went on to say that there might not be as many changes as people think.

This has been said through a translator.

The only difference this season seems to be is he doesn't say "could've saved that"

Hardly surprising that Robinson slags off Ramos is it, seeing as how Ramos has sussed him out and dropped him.

What a shock.
