Among Tottenham ’s options for a replacement is Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus. The Twenty-three year-old joined the German club in 2017 and after a year out on loan.

Neuhaus and Sabitzer in and get rid of Winks, Dele and Sissoko. And then go to work on blowing up homegrown rules.

Would be someone to really dictate tempo for us in midfield. I watched him play this season against Madrid and Inter in the CL this season and he was fantastic; so good technically.

Would be an utterly fantastic signing.

Him, Hojbjerg and Ndombele has absolutely everything you could want from a midfield three.

Would also provide the level of technicality and control in midfield which would allow us to control the tempo of games which I think we've really struggled with this season (as we all know given our struggles when the game hits a lull at 1-0 up)

If the word elegant were a player. He reminds me of winks but one who is half a foot taller, can carry the ball forward, and is super effective in the final third. Incredible balance and footwork for someone of his stature. Wonderful variety and accuracy in his passing. Lethal shot inside and outside the box. One criticism is that he’s slow, but I feel he plays the game at his own pace. Off the ball he certainly isn’t lacking for pace, at least not how I see it.

I mean, you're basically describing Glenn Hoddle...

Looks really good, be amazed if other clubs aren't sniffing, looks too good for a club to allow a January move but would love to get him.

True, I just try to paint a picture for those who don’t watch a lot of football outside of England; I tend to exaggerate a bit. Not tracking back on what I said though. Neuhaus is all of those things, but obviously unproven so who knows. If he maintains his level from gladbach, I’d say a realistic comparison is Andre Gomes but with far better efficiency and decision making in the final third. Another comparison would be Toni Kroos, but the two players I mentioned are miles apart in terms of level, you can see why it’s tough.

Summer yes please. Never going to happen in January.

Disagree. He has a release clause of 35m in the summer. So very doable now. Just have to pay the going rate. 40-45m would be enough as clubs everywhere are struggling financially. Hard for them to turn down. However Just don't know if we will stump up the cash. Would be a great addition and really sort out our midfield as he has the ability to break the line and play a pass. We would have the best midfield 3 in the Prem. No doubt about it

We all know as he’s at a German club they will sell him to Bayern for cheap. It’s always the way (unless he runs down his contract and moves there for free)
